I'm trying to get friendly with the Thorium Brotherhood to get the new transmutation, and I've decided to go the kingsblood route. I'm cheap, so I don't want to buy much, if any of it...so could anyone elighten me as to a good place to farm it? It's been a month or so since my alchemy required it.

I would say Arathi Highlands.

I not sure if there is the most of kingsblood and 'The' place to be for kingsblood, but I can found quite some kingsblood there...

And a little south to the wetlands, there is some kingsblood as well, but only much in the open spaces (eastern wetlands).

I'm not sure, but I'm thinking it's going to take a LOT of kingsblood to get your rep up. You might want to do the math first before starting this. You'll probably find that you will be farming kingsblood til your eyes bleed and your fingers fall off...

I have a friend who did this....

Get gatherer addon.

Comb arathi and wetlands and find all the kingsblood spots to get them on your gatherer map.

Look at your maps and figure out a circuit that hits most/all of those spots. Leave your herbalist camped out in wetlands or arathi.

At the start of your play session, log on your herblist and do the circuit. It shouldn't take very long assuming you have a mount.

camp out and play another character.

At end of session log in herblist and do another circuit.

Any time you have 20 minutes to play, log in and do a circuit.

He said it only took him a few weeks to get enough kingsblood this way. OF course, he did all that and found out that there wasn't any alchemy recipes available. I think they've since added one.

When I went this route, I found that the Wetlands worked best. You can run around the northern part of the zone, sweeping east to west, and then double back to get them as they respawn. It is slow, but it works

Yep, added one recipe since 1.9. I've decided to check the AH for good deals (a stack for 2-3g. It's gone up to 6g on my server) on both kingsblood and iron. Gonna try and convince a friend to get some iron for me in his off time...it'll take me about 15 stacks total, some combo of iron and kingsblood, to get up to friendly.

P.S.
Been farming sprouts in un'goro for just about every waking moment on the game here lately, with no guaranteed pay-off anytime soon. At least with kingsblood, there's a clear and defined goal. That's a big plus, even if it does take me a few weeks.
