Mining MonopolyFollow

I have noticed while looking at the Auction house that Copper bars sell insanely fast, and for crazy prices. Last night i sold 20 copper bars for 5 gold and it only took 2 hours to sell it lol. My real question is, however, why dont people monopolize such opportunities. ive seen people only sell copper for 70-80 silver. Now a smart person who has a decent amount of money would Buy all the copper in the AH and sell it for a Crazy price. Because demand is so high for copper, people will be dumb enough to buy it for that price. Am i right?

That is a common practice. The problem is that it's an easy to find item, so you have to sit and watch the AH for quite a while to make sure you are the only one buying those under-priced items for sale.

The better method is to monopolize an item that won't re-fill in the AH so fast, but is still needed by a lot of people.

Day trading is not without risks, I had a stint with a life as a day trader, and gave it up. I later decided it liked palying the actual game, far more than working the 2 AH.

A "Good" (and I use the term loosely) Daytrading operaion starts up with some capital someing over 30-40 gold(folks have done it with less), that ammount of money lets you buyup any stragglers that underbid you. The problem is that if the price gets too high, folks will just make a level 1 toon and go out mining, and you are stuck with thousands of copper bars, that you may have to wait a week or 2 to sell when the price restabelises, but will you have enuff money to do so?

I am a firm beliver that their is money to be made on the AH,I am just not enuff of a butthead to invfate the price of any item, so that I can make money, I do my best to put a farir price on said item, and sell it. Trying to leach extra cash out of players is like being a used car salesman, You think you have done well, but you just succeded in being an selfish, greedy, slimebag. Do as you wish , we all pay a fee to play, but as in reality, their are lowlifes that think they deserve somebody elses stuff, and their are genuine good folks.

hahhahahahahahahahahahhahahahHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHa....
this is why you dont let emotionally unstable people play WOW. "You are selfish becuase you charge more then other people"...if someone is selling 20 copper for 1silver (yea right) but this is hypotheical. IF someone is selling 20 copper bars for 1 silver, and you buy it and resell it for 5 silver? does that make you selfish? NO...it makes you entrepreneur and it makes you smart. If you think that 5 silver is alot, dont bid on it. You act like the people buying this stuff at prices in the G's where FORCED to bid on them. THey wernt, they bid on them because they need the raw materials for their own career in the game. If they thought that 1 gold is too much, they wouldnt bid on it. TO make a long story short, you need to calm down and worry about your own "life" which, in my opinion, need some help.
also, if you think we are such slimebags, go into the auction house in ironforge, and yell out "YOU ARE ALL SELFISH SLIMEBAGS" and see what happens, one of the first things to happen is that you will be spammed with duel requests
