www.worldofwarcraft.com has a list of "useful tradeskills" for each class.

Profession Options
You can pick whatever you want. You might find these more tailored to the Druid:

Skinning and Leatherworking - Druids can create Leather armor for themselves or sell it to others.
Enchanting - Druids can enchant their equipment to make themselves more powerful.
Herbalism and Alchemy - Druids can create buff potions or healing potions.

I actually recommend mining/engineering for the extra abilites you get, but between those two take herb/alchemy. With LW, you won't make as many useful things as you'd think until much later levels.

O.K., any sane person not on; crack, cocaine, marijuana, shrooms, acid, PCP, LSD, etc/any of the above/all of the above, would go into either: Skinning/leatherworking, Tailoring/enchanting. Or whatever you want because you are high on; crack, cocaine, marijuana, shrooms, acid, PCP, LSD, etc/any of the above/all of the above.

Merry X-mas!

with the risk of adding to the competition... ;)

With Alchemy/Herb you will get alot of nice buffs and potions to keep you alive as well as selling the overflow for a nice profit. The revenue should be enought to buy the armor and weapons you need. Later on you get a lot of extra gold from transmutes witch is very nice.

I haven't had much use for LW which I have tried with one of my other characters. It's nice to support my other characters and guild mates with leather but other then that i find it rather useless.

Don't listen to csnoob...he knows not of what he speaks. LW/skinning is alright, but most of the gear that it makes is geared toward rogues or pre 40 hunters, or for caster druids, at least up until the later levels. Plus, you can usually find as good or better drops. Tailoring/enchanting will be a serious money drain up until you get the higher level formulas, most of which rarely drop, or require faction with something. It's also VERY costly, as you'll be disenchanting almost all of the BoE's you don't use so you can get mats to skill up with stuff that you'll mostly be giving away. Alchemy is very nice, and later can be a decent money maker. Elixir's of the mongoose are quite popular with rogue's and hunters. Personally, herbalism/alchemy is my favorite pairing, but then again, I don't really make a great deal of money...I suppose once I get around to farming up a lot of herbs for potions, I'll do alright...wonder if kingsblood still sells for 5g a stack on AD...

Druid is the best herbing class in the game. Gathering can be done without switching out of feral forms and a Druid can run circles around any other class for gathering herbs. Herbalism/Alchemy is a great way to go for Druid.

I agree, Herbalism/Alchemy is a great set for Druids. I have two druids one is a Tribal Leatherworker/Skinner, the other is Herbalism/Alchemy. I think it's best to see what sells on your server. On the ones I am on herbs sell for quite a bit, leather not so much. Though if you were to get some tough to nab patterns for leatherworking you can make some nice money.

Personally, my NE leather druid had a hard time getting money for her mount - kind generous people helped me get the money for it and I thank them greatly. I only now have 56g with her and she's lvl 53.

My tauren herbalism druid had 158g at lvl 39 - so enough to buy my mount and some left over. I'm constantly making money with him with the potions and herbs I sell. I sell anything I don't need to lvl and sell the potions I make from lvling my alchemy. Being a druid I can heal myself so I don't need to use the potions unless I am fighting something difficult by myself.

Some good Potions to sell (aside from the really high lvl alc stuff): Alchemy lvl 155ish is what I have.
Arcane Elixirs
Elixir of Agility
Oil of Immolation (sells for 1g each or you can sell in stacks)

If you go tribal leatherworking it's a good idea to get your faction up with the Timbermaws in Felwood as they can sell you some nice patterns (and not everyone has their faction up high enough for some of them so you'd have little competition in selling those items in the AH).

also you could take up tailoring/enchanting. thats what i have now and its been going great since you can make all your greens and just buy your armor with the money you make from enchanting.

In order to answer your question, I would have to ask what your goals are. Do you want to make money, or do you want to make objects? If your goal is gold, then neither. In both cases, you are gathering stuff to use yourself (with an aditional outlay for things like thread, vials, etc.), when you could be selling those mats.

I did herb/ enchanting to start because I wanted money and something to benefit me more directly but then I got to like 125 enchanting and ditched it for Alch but that wasn't good becasue I lost all of my money from the herbs selling. My main goal was money in all of this becasue it seems to me that with money I can buy pots or I can buy enchants. I am doing herb/mining now but I am going to change that becasue you can't search for both at the same time, so I am switching to herb/skinning. It boils down completely to what you want to accomplish from your professions. You will make some money with any of them but you will make more money and less items for yourself with some and less money but more for yourself than others. And I am a 26 Druid by the way lol
