Crusader, or Lifestealing Enchant?Follow

Hey guys, I have a level 19 Paladin, and I'm wondering which enchant would benefit me more. Before you guys say anything, the reason I'm getting one of these godly enchants is because I'm making my Paladin a 10-19 Warsong Gulch owner. So please, don't ask why I'm getting them.

I think you chose the best one with Icy Chill, WSG is not as much about dammage, but about Movement(this is why druids do well thier) and nither cursader or life steal affects movement, Icy chill dose.

But I've heard the Icy Chill enchant procs very rarely. Has anyone tried any of these enchants?

The only two weapon enchants I’ve had any experience with are + damage enchants which are very strait forward and the fiery enchant. And I can tell you that on my paladin the fiery enchant had a fairly frequent proc. I was very happy with it. I’ve also read that Icy doesn’t proc very often, but I’ve not had any first hand experience with it.

I had Icey chill on my rogue's weapon (my high agility means many crits), and it proc'd every 4-5 mobs/chars I fought. I though it was a tremendous waste of gold. I thought using Icey chill instead of crippling poison would allow me to put deadly poison on both of my weapons, but its low proc rate made me go back to using crippling poison on one weapon.

So what should I go for then? Crusader, or Lifestealing?

I have Lifesteal on Julies Dagger. That is the best combo because I would get double health to me at times. Lifesteal itself doesnt give large amounts of health back, but sometimes only a little is all you need. I don't know much about crusader.

How can a level 29 afford a level 60 enchant?

Not to hijack the thread, but do enchants have armor lvl prerequisites?

With leather armor kits, the gear you're putting it on has to be at or above, lvl wise, with the type of armor kit you use...

For example, I tried putting a rugged armor kit on one of my lowbie alts armor once, and it said "Item is too low a level."

Do enchants have this drawback as well?
If so, sadly, that might put a kink in your plan. =(
If not though, I'd say crusader would pbbly benefit you more, esp being a pally.
I just got lifestealing and it rarely ever proc's... At least noticably. It's so bad I'm thinking I might switch to crusader. =P ~Pye

Point one to someone who replied, you can enchant anything of the appropriate type on anything regardless of level. I saw someone selling a big bone with crusader on it once. Like level 5 gray weapon.

Regarding Lifesteal- after 1.9 it may be worth it, right now it isn't. It is a FIRE based proc. Too many mobs resist it, though if you are going for PvP it might be better. For a Paladin thought, NO WAY! dont even think about it. My priest is a 300 enchanter, if you came to me I would try my hardest to convince you that 30hp potential in one fight is not worth it. (edit: after 1.9 patch they are changing it to Shadow or something, I think)

Crusader - Good way to go for your class, though it is very expensive. Obviously you know that by now 200g or more for mats alone.

Icy Chill - I know PvP rogues who use it, but then they have Crusader on main hand. As a Paladin who stands toe to toe in general, you are less concerned with CC than someone like a Rogue who wants to get away to bandage, etc. I had it for a day, then put a new one on. (Agi for me)

Fiery - Nice proc rate, as someone said, cheap enchant, cool look. Again, not for a Paladin. You don't hit fast enough or enough times to make it worth it. Well it is worth it if you can't afford Crusader, but the stat bonus for Crusader, I think is worth more.

There are some more rare enchants that I haven't even SEEN anyone on my server that can apply it, I won't go into those.

Good luck
