Farming sucks, period. I sooo hate farming for anything that takes a lot of time.
So, my solution was to setup contracts with skinners so they could COD me their hides and skins that I want at some set prices. I only have a few so far. I do a lot of crafting and auction house sales, so I need a lot of leather.
This only works well if you are good at earning gold. If you prefer to grind, then I'd say to just start hacking at those beasts and skin away... Look at what you can make that uses the least amount of leather. If you can't sell it on the AH, send it to an alt that can disenchant. Only has to be level 5, then you can sell the enchant materials on the AH.
I found it very hard to get from 150 to the low 200 range because lots of the recipes make int/spi items which only some druids will buy. The real money is in agi/stam items that both druids and rogues will buy, along with sub-40 hunters. Nightscape Shoulders sell well because it's a dropped recipe that you can get on the AH.
anyway, good luck.
