a few months ago i was a 300 gnomish engineer and i got all the special schematics from booty bay with no problem. Then i dropped it for enchanting and got to 285 before i got sick of it. I picked engineering back up and am currently at 300, but i cant get the quest for gnomish engineering again. How can i get back into it?

you are still a gnomish engineer. It's always there.
I know You have to be a "Gnomish Engineer Member".
Gnome Enginner Membership Card can be bought at
Master Gnome Engineer Oglethorpe Obnoticus in BB (2G).
He's next to the Old Port Authoity, on 1st floor. House #4 when comming in from SV (No sign outside).
He also got some nice Schematics. Inlaid Mithril Cylinder is one schematic you can make yourself with Paper+Ink.
I want the "Snipe Scope" Schematics............
