Tailoring above 272?Follow

#1 Nov 21 2005 at 12:58 PM Rating: Decent
What is everyone doing to get their tailoring to 300? I am at 272 and I no longer have any red items that I can make. I only have the one rune cloth belt item (yellow now).

Is the best option to buy the cheapest runecloth recipe that is around level 270 from the AH?

Does anyone have recomendations of patterns I can buy from the AH that use the least material that cost the least?

Thanks!

Buy Runecloth robe, belt, pants, recipes. It cost me a fortune in buying the mats in AH to get from your level to 300, but I was determined to do it.

I haven't been in a hurry to lvl my tailoring. But, ime sitting someplace in the 280s

Every time I make mooncloth I still get an improve. Its slow, but it is a free improve everytime.

But, baking mooncloth was the only reason I took tailoring anyways.

if you have a yellow recipe you still should get plenty of points from it. even at green i usually can get 10-15 more points before it's not worth doing for the skillups anymore.

but by now you should have purchased some recipes from AH. great if you can get it as a drop but that's probably not as frequent as we'd all like it to be.

especially the mooncloth, get that recipe and you can get a point every time you do one up to 300.

besides that, i also got the runecloth and felcloth recipes...going between those recipes, i got to 300 easily. there is also mooncloth and wizardweave recipes but you may not want to make those just for points -- too much mats required, not to mention fairly expensive mats.

Why not make Runecloth bags? I found this as a very effective way to level up; people loooooove 14-slot bags. You might even be able to sell these on the AH! The recipe is still green at level 300, so I figure it is around... what... 260, 270 for skill? Not too bad to level up on, and as I said, you have a market to sell to.
