Can someone tell a new alchemist what the role of the Philosopher's Stone is for other than used in future alchemy mixes? (give some general info about it)
Does one need a stone for each transmute ? ; ect.

You make a stone,

It is yours for life and is soulbound. You must have it for any of the Transmute Recipies ie -Arcanite Transmute- the only way to make arcanite bars.

You don't. You only need to make one Stone. Just keep it in your inventory. Used automaticlly kinda like a Miners axe or skinners knife.
