Should I..?Follow

#1 Nov 02 2005 at 3:24 AM Rating: Decent
I am an enchanter of lvl 178. It is so boring, that I seriously think about changing it to mining or smthng like that. Am a tailor also. So in that case skinning would be good, but I really would prefer mining... One reason is that my alt is a BS.

So what say you, should I change enchanting 178 -> mining 0 ?
I just don't have energy for enchanting anymore.. :P

PS. I have minor beastslaying in enchanting though... :/

If it's not fun, why do it?

Make sure its not fun though, you'd hate it if you switched to mining and then missed enchanting.

I think this is a common problems that most enchanters have the first time they take enchanting as a profession. It seems like a money sink, but in the end it will turn around and make you a decent profit.

As you no doubt have seen on these forums, enchanting doesn't start making you money until after about 225. When you get up to 265 then you can really start making the bucks with Fiery Enchant, Agi/Int/Stam/Str enchants, if you are luckey enough you can get Enchant Gloves - Riding Skill, and things like Crusader, Lifestealer and whatnot.

If money isn't your concern, and you are just bored of the profession change it to something you like. Its a game after all, and I would rather enjoy the game, then be bored doing something I don't like (which is why my skill in fishing and cooking is 1).

I don't understand this, skinning really doesn't help you with tailoring in the long run, yes there are a few tailoring recipes that require leather (bags, some boots, and some gloves), but on the whole there couldn't be more than 4 or 5 recipes that require leather. Again, if you like mining do it, and its a good money maker.

Anyway thats my 2 coppers worth

Nothing different than what has already been said, but is it about money? I had the same on my mage, I dropped enchanting (kept tailoring - 300 now) and took up herbing to send to an alt that is my alchemist. Just a thought.

EDIT: cus I can't spell
