125 Mining....where to now?Follow

#1 Nov 01 2005 at 11:53 AM Rating: Decent
I got my Mining up to 125 and now can do iron. My smithing is at 130 or 135. I was wondering where is a good place to go to get tin/iron and other higher level veins. Thanks!

Thousand Needles is a wonderful zone. It has a lot of tin, a lot of iron, and some mithril. Iron and Mithril spawns will rarely be Gold and Truesilver, so you get your rare metals too. I went from around 125 to 250 or so in Thousand Needles (although it took a while). However, a mount is very recommended, as you'll have to do a lot of searching. If you don't have a mount, it's okay, it just takes longer to get around. Another thing to note is that you should be around level 30 to make it safely through the caves where the majority of iron/mithril spawns are located.

If you are Alliance on a PvP server, you're going to have some trouble; 1k Needles is to Horde what Red Ridge is to Alliance. It's a contested zone with a heavy Horde bias.

I am a 26 Human Pally on Lightning's Blade (a PvP server). What are the alternatives?

Well I am not on your server, But on the 2 PvP servers i play on 1kN = Death for alliance, I know I have seen some level 60's let 35-45 alliance though their, because ya have to once to get the flight path, but if they catch ya poking arround, gank fest, that area is realy horde land, and alliance just dont belong their. Once again I am not on your server, but here is my outlook.

The highlands, just north of the point is a cave full of ogers, lots o iron their but i dont know it is on your server, it may be too much of a gank fest.

Wetlands, not a lot of iron, but i am pretty sure i have seen a few nodes spawn, and like the oppsite of 1KN this is a pretty well defended alliance terrtiory.

Decolace, I see lots of mith, but every now and then.... Iron. Most of the zone is free of aybody , much less horde, cept the folks going to muldron.

Stonetallon? dont know how it looks on your server but the chared vale has mith and iron just north of it.

The badlands worth a shot, I say go early in the moring or late at night, when the horde are asleep, or at least hope for it.
