Engineering Vs. BlacksmithingFollow

#1 Oct 17 2005 at 6:45 AM Rating: Decent
I'm a warlock. I have engineering. I'm going to continue with it.

But. Engineering is souch a bad moneymaker! All the things you do is for engineerers only. But in blacksmithing, you can actually sell the weaps/armors in the AH and get som non-blacksmither warrior/pally/shammy to buy your stuff.

NOW THAT IS UNFAIR!

Just wanted to state my point.

Comments?

ok, i chose engineering because you can get some head gear early, and later on you can sell devices that go pretty high for ppl who do PvP, trust me, alot of ppl like those death rays. so continue on with engineering, besides, you can always fall back on selling copper, tin, bronze, ect... bars fro cash i mean i have made 7g today selling 7 stacks of copper bars for a buyout price of 1g each trust me you can make more than enough money through minings, i have more than enough money right now, im only lvl 13.

NO, really 7g ? That's quite much, how long time did you spend mining then? But mining copper for me just seems pointless since I don get anymore skill from it.

Thx for your reply.

skill ups or not, copper bars can be a money maker, if ur horde u can mine it in durotar(even if ur alliance u can do it here, just dont get close to any org guards if ur not a high lvl), in the two caves with the buring orc mob people, and along the run path between them, along the shore. Its usually ~8 or so nodes total, can be less or more, and i could max out all but 1 bag slot i had, 3 14 bags and hte main bag(16) all with copper ore stacks, then make bars out of it all, and then sell on ah, and they sell with in a few mins to 1hour for 75s each, and only took ~2hrs to get all, thats like around 28 stacks of bars for 75s each, id do that like atleast once every day i playied, and the money added up fast, i usually never sold for more than 75s, just so they would sell faster than the rest up there. on days where i had nothing really important to do, id mine mostly the whole time pulling in near 30g or more in the whole time, so it adds up over time, not much per shot, but will add up very fast over time

o and engineering is really fun, just making and using the items, and having them malfunction is the best part, even though if u die, its still fun, i went gnome eng and have alot of fun with it, id go eng instead of blacksmithing any time, cause eng is really fun
