Minor Mount Speed Enchant?Follow

#1 Oct 14 2005 at 8:46 AM Rating: Decent
What are the mats and stats of the minor mount speed increasing enchantment?
I cannot find it on the Allakhazam enchanting spells list,
and I just wonder things as to where the recipe drops and
what level enchanting it is and what the ingredients are.

The one on the bracers, I think uses 2 large radiant shards, and something else.

I'll check.

Edit - it's actually on gloves and uses 2 radiant shards and 3 dream dust.

It's called Enchant Gloves-Riding Skill. Not sure where it drops, I usually see at least 1 on AH being sold for abuot 80-100g. I just couldn't see myself purchasing it and making a big profit from it. Then the other day I saw one for 30g and picked it up. I've already done 3 at 10g a peice.. so i made my money back. The going rate on my server is 10-15g depending on price of mats, and of course, the enchanter.

I managed to get the recipe for about 40s the other day from the AH.

What a bargain.

lol - that formula usually goes for 50-100g, and i dont even believe it stacks with the carrot on a stick, i know mithril spurs dont -- so what's the big deal anyways?

Carrot on a Stick, Mithril Spurs and the riding Enchant on Gloves DO stack for a combined increase of 9% on your mount speed. That 9% is obviously more noticable the faster your can travel so on Epic Mounts it gives a larger speed increase.

Just use a 'wardrobe' style add-on so that when u mount up you get all these item equipped.

And btw the difference is noticeable. My friend has none of the above and I have them, if he is on follow and we're riding more than a short way he does get left behind and that's only on normal mounts.

The speed increases do indeed stack. I've had races with my guildmates with the carrot, with the gloves, and with both. With both you are, obviously, 3% faster than with only one. Either way, you will definitely see the difference when next to a 60% mount. Just try it out in IF or OG.

it was 3% for each, so 9% total extra. yes all of them together do make a difference..one of them alone may not really make a difference.

traveling alone you may not notice anything either. it's like flomo said when you're traveling with people who have the enchants/trinkets and those who dont.

Yes they do stack, and there is an a "Monkey Addon" that allows you to track your speed. What you aren't taking into consideration is that each of these gives you a 3% speed increase. Assuming still is 0%, normal run is 100%, regular mount is 160%, and epic is 200%. There for a 3% increase on the epic would increase it to 206%(200%* 1.03) and then each additional 3% would have to be calculated off of that 206%*1.03= 212.2, and 212.2*1.03 = 219% roughly. So epic with all three is 37% faster than normal mount; vs 25%.

with the monkey speed mod, I get readings fluctuating between 174% and 175% with all three on.. they do stack, and I can easily catch alliance on their run to ratchet after getting beat down raiding XR

I 2 box, and have tested them on different characters on both of my accounts, with none, with one piece, 2 pieces, and all 3 pieces.

I recommend that anyone who is serious about using these pieces search curse-gaming for the mountequip mod, which swaps up to 5 pieces of gear automatically when you mount or dismount.
