is having enginering for a preist a good profession?
No.
You do not need bullits and the coolest engeneering stuff is useless to you as priests come with skills that make jumpercables, the parachute cloak and the mindcontrol cap useless.
On top of that, using the engeneering explosives is a bad idea in parties as you want to generate as little aggo as possible.
Now that I think of it, engeneering on a priest would be about the worst choice possible.

I would have to argue with ya on this one, all the headgear made by enginering is cloth, including spell power goggles, rocket boots, death ray, Fear/Hi-explosive bomb FTW,Goblin Land Mine are fun at lower levels,Net-O-Matic,Gnomish Harm Prevention.... I see plenty of goodies for a preist.

And thats why preist have Fade, Remember ... Healing Causes Aggro, and piles of it, far less than a bomb, whos major componet is a stun.
Everybody wants a teleporter too, I see no good reason to not take up Enginering for a preist.

Leatherworking, Smitinging, Well their are 2 choices with less to offer a preist than Enginering.
Goggles, Teleporter, Death Ray,,ammo for the Guildies,,sure you are not gonna get rich off Engineering but it's fun as Hell!!
LvL 37 priest here. I went Eng/Mi and stuck with it until around the 180-200 mark. As stated it's alot of fun to go with. Bombs are wonderful as a nuke when you're busy saving mana for heals, and the headgear is pretty great being cloth with the small abilities...
HOWEVER
You will not get rich off Eng. I was at lvl 30 with a bank roll of 5g. Not encouraging if you wanna make it to 90g for your mount at lvl 40. So I switched to herb/alch and at lvl 37 I'm sitting on 54g. You can turn a profit with Herb/Alch with ease, and your own pots are invaluable.
Depends what you wanna do.
