where is the best place to find Iron Deposits? I havent seen any yet and I cant get my mining any higher w/o it
What is your level and are you horde or alliance? It makes a difference...
The best way to find your answer is probably to type "iron deposit" in the search box on the left and find an area you know your character can survive in from the list that comes up. Then check the map for mining locations.
For my lvl 32 paladin, the best places I've found are the Angerfang Camp and the cave in Raptor Ridge in the Wetlands, and once you get the flight path from Astranaar, Stonetalon Peak is also good. Both of these are favorite ganking places for horde on my server though, so it can get a bit frustrating.

I've seen a lot in the snowy area of Alterac, but its probably not a good idea to spend much time up there until level 35-ish. Those orcs and yetis will turn you into a smear on the ground pretty fast.
As stated above it depends on your level. At 30+ I'd say Arathi Highlands (sp?). 38+ the Badlands south of loch modan is the sweet spot.
Both should be accessible to horde and alliance, though I do not know how accessible the badlands is for horde.

theres a hell of a lot of iron in STV, but its as hostile an area as you're likely to find. Personally i like that, it adds a little excitement to the otherwise tedious chore of mining.

Iron is good to be found in the following places (depending on what faction you are)
Swamp of sorrows (H) with some mithril.
Arathi Highlands and some mithril
Stranglethorn Vale with a sprinkling of mithril.
EDIT: Badlands w/ lots of mithril.
I also found the odd deposit in Duskwood.
