fishing for bottles ... not dollarsFollow

Been hitting Ratchet hard with the fishing pole.

I was getting some oily black mouths when I caught a bottle, and then in about 15 min later, another bottle. If I remember correctly, I believe I also caught a crate. All could be opened. and this happened all within about 1-2 hrs. (it seems to happen most around the dock when casting from land.

Some scrolls and blasting powders all that were found in the bottles/crate.
What are some of the more interesting items you found @ Ratchet?

Also... what lvl fishing does one need to be before casting out at Booty Bay?

Not sure about the exact level, but if you are at least 125, you should be fine at BB. Just jump on the boat and ride over to see ;)

the Venture Company have evidently dropped a lot of boxes into the sea... I have gotten blasting powders and other engineering items to fish up with these crates

Lockboxes also tend to pop up occasionally, i found one off the dock in Menethil Harbor, although the only thing in it was either a bolt of wool cloth or a couple medium leathers... actually now that i think about it it was somewhere around 2 lockboxes i have fished up...

I have heard stories of people fishing up rings, and some sort of armor pieces, however I do not know everything that can be fished up, and whether or not these stories were fact

As for level of fishing required, I agree that 125 is enough, I had a fishing level of 100, and a nightcrawler put me high enough to fish there.

I fished up a major heal potion from the deck in front of Stratholme before, probably my best catch since nerfdom. Aside from that, the aforementioned crate with blasting powder or lock-box with a couple of med. leathers.

I got a green level 42 required sword fishing in moonglade once. Driud's don't use swords, and I was level 54, but it was a nice surprise.
