I've managed to get rogue to level 10 and my skinning is already at 49, and I've trained so that leatherworking is listed under my primary professions; but I have no idea how to craft anything. I don't know how to open any menus or get the damned items to turn into anything, so as my skinning keeps on getting better my leather is still 1/75. Someone please tell me how to craft in this game...
Open your skills menu ('p' I think). And you should see 'Journeyman Leatherworking'. Click that and you can see all the things you can make, and the items needed to make them.
There's a more in depth guide in the manual.

In the box came a stack of paper that is stuck together, I think it's called a manual..what could be inside?!

And try and make the stuff that is written in orange, grey gives you no skillups, green takes forever.
