I am looking for a skill just to make money and wondered if you think its worth dropping Engineering for Minning. Have spent around 50g on enginnering but feel it will cost alot more before i can get the stuff i want. Just want any views on this.

Personally, I'd recommend leveling an alt with skinning/mining, skinning/herbalism or mining/herbalism. I wouldn't want to play paladin without engineering, especially if it were already up to 238. Alts are quick and easy to level so I'd make a few and let them be the moneymakers. By level 20 or so they should be bringing in a good bit more gold than you spend on them. Then the higher they get, the more they bring in.
