LOL.
You know what?
I did the same exact thing when I was levelling.
My Solution: Lowbies will hate you for this, but go back to Elwynn Forest and Westfall and just run around the zone and ***** copper and tin. If I remember right, the 110ish area is the Bronze Stage, where you need lots of Bronze. Well, that's good, becuase each Bronze Smelt gives you 2 ingots. If you are 27, then you have nothing to fear in Westfall, nor Elwynn. Though, you might want to eventually move on to Duskwood, as there's a large amount of Tin in there (along with Iron!).
As far as recpies, you want to go and talk to the NPCs near the Great Forge. They have quests for some recipes as well. But unless you are outfitting guildies, or alternate characters, these are probably useless to you now, as most of the "optional" recpies probably involve things that are too expensive to use as "skillup" recipes.
So, Recap:
Go back to Elwynn and Westfall and mine as much Tin and Copper as you can find. Make stuff, sell to NPC. As far as I know, none of the "optimal skillup" recipes are lose-money until Steel. And most Steel recipes make you money if you Only buy the Coal. The goal while Skilling Up is to Only buy the Trade Supplies, and not the materials themselves. Mine all of your ore, and you will make money off of this. If you have an Enchanter alt, send the greens (almost everything you craft past the Bronze Stage is green) to this alt for a nice chunk o' change.

[Edit: This is assuming you are Alliance. If you are Horde, I assume the same is still true for Durotar/Mulgore and the Barrens.]
