i have my blacksmithing up to lvl 268. yet when i look at the list of items in the blacksmithing inventory listed on this site i see that the truesilver breast plate is from a trainer. if that is so then either my trainer is holding out on me or i am not at the right trainer. the trainer i am using has two items left for me to learn. arcanite rod & key. where can i get the higher items that are not from plans? any advice would be greatly appreciated. i apologize if this has been asked before and answered. my search abilities aren't what they use to be.
The Truesilver Breastplate is learned from a trainer, but it's from the armorsmith series of quests. You need to do these quests to get it.
I think almost all end-game recipes will be either from dropped recipes or from trainers who require you to get high reputation with their faction first. It's been this way with Alchemy and Tailoring for me; should be similar for Blacksmithing, I think ^_^
