Fishing Over 300 ??Follow

I have 300 in Fishing and am using "FC - 5000" fishing pole ( gives plus 25 to fishing. Yet I can't fish in Winterspring for some reason. Says I am still not high enuff.
Can a player get over 300 is base fishing skill?
Do I need to be using baubles or soemthing ?

Yes, some waters are too high level for even 325 fishing. So you’ll have to use lures. For best results I’d use the +100 to fishing lures. These are either bought from vendors as limited supply items or made by players with engineering. If you can’t get those the best you’ll be able to buy are +75 lures.



You can certainly have some gloves enchanted with a bonus to your fishing skill. However, the bonus is only +2. So to be honest I don’t see them making much of a difference. Unfortunately, the lucky fishing hat has not been seen in game since the MONSTER fishing nerf shortly after the game was released. However, with the upcoming fishing competition coming in with the next patch it appears the lucky fishing hat, and possibly other fishing gear, will be making a comeback.
