After looking through some other forums of armorsmitihng vs. Weaponsmithing I have noticed that rarity of plans were not included. I would like to ask wether, myself a warrior, would benifit more from choosing Axesmithing or armorsmihthing. Also which would proffession would require me to take longer to get plans for the weapons/armor pieces.

Had to make a similar decision myself...
Armoursmithing:
+ can make lots of items specific to armoursmiths
+ can make Dark Iron Plate
+ lots of demand for high level plate
+ the less rare recipes appear in the AH regularly
- there are more of Armoursmiths about than Axesmiths, competition
Axesmithing:
+ less common (especially Alliance side) so your stuff should sell well
+ less recipes to find/buy before you have everything
+ top-end Axesmith items will sell for *lots* - but probably not quickly
- you have to kill something in LBRS (5-man) to get it
- all your items apart from your quest reward recipe are VERY hard to make
