Anyone know somewhere to find a good cooking guide that takes into account that some people actually DO play horde?
All I have been able to find is alliance cooking guides.

What I'm basically looking for is a good place to get recipes. It seems the only ones I can find in Org (from the trainer) is mostly recipes that have components that I have only seen on the alliance side (like stringy wolf meat and coyote meat). If not a guide, anyone know of a cooking trainer where I can get more recipes then what is offered at the Org trainer?

And our AH on my server is pitifully lacking in cooking recipes, and the ones they do have are dramatically overpriced.

Thanks for any info/help.

My honest guide is to go down the list either here or on thottbot and just check each recipe, see where it's bought and compare it against what you have. I have never found a guide that can be as comprehensive as making my own list.

Here’s a related question. In Stormwind there’s an NPC that sells almost all the cooking recipes we get from quests as well as a few others. Is there an equivalent NPC in one of the horde capitals? I too would like to get my hands on some additional recipes.

Geocide, you can get from 1 to over 150 cooking by using the same three fish recipes whether you’re on the alliance side or horde side. I’ve bought all three with one of my horde characters, but I don’t know the areas as well as I do the alliance so I can’t tell you which vendors sell them, but if you look them up on thottbot you can find a list of vendors that do so.

Brilliant Smallfish – Cooking skill of 1
Longjaw Mud Snapper - Cooking skill of 50
Bristle Whisker Catfish - Cooking skill of 100

If you fish in the lower level ponds and towns, as apposed to the ocean, you should catch plenty of these fish. I usually cook the smallfish until they turn green, then I do the same with the mud snappers and the catfish. By that time my cooking will be over 150. After that it just depends on what recipes I can get my hands on. But this is a good way to get started into cooking.

Low level guide...

Go to Thunderbluff, see cooking trainer there.
Next see Fishing guy, learn to fish (remember to buy rod)
Fish in TB's little pool - get a large stack of fish (recipes available from fishing and cooking trainers, also from inn keepers and trade vendors in Bloodhoof Village and TB)

Run upstairs, buy additional supplies if needed, cook fish.

Repeat said method for all stages of cooking, however please note that a higher levels there seems to be a issue where fish you catch in one place will involve a trip to a distant place to acquire the recipe.

Or if you are really lazy - use this site - enter the raw fais/meat name, and a recipe will also appear if available, and where you buy it from.
