I’ve looked this up and the only location listed is Azshara. Is this accurate? A character can have the skill to make this at level 35 but the schematic is only found at the far end of a 45-55 zone? That doesn’t make any sense. I’ve been watching the auction house, but no luck there. I had hoped to go out and buy it myself. But I don’t know if I can survive the mobs there. They tend to be rather thickly populated and not too affectionate towards strangers.

Just because you can learn the pattern at 35 doesn't mean the pattern has to be obtainable.

As a tailor, I can learn the Truefaith Vestments pattern at level 35, or the Gloves of Spell Mastery pattern at level 35, or the Belt of the Archmage at level 35.

Kind of ridiculous isn't it?

Is the pattern BoP? If not you can get it from the Auction House.

No, its not bind on pickup. But it’s also not made an appearance in the auction house.

Perhaps I’ve just been spoiled by playing on Blackhand for so long, but my current auction house is rather depressing. I’ve gone from the alliance side of one of the most heavily populated servers to the horde side of a medium population server. The most fundamental difference I’ve noticed is the auction house. Compared to Blackhand the auction house on my current server is a ghost town. It’s the norm for there to be 20 plus level gaps between both weapons and armor. There is usually only one page of bags for sale, where Blackhand usually had four or five. And while I would often see three or four whelp pets for sale on Blackhand at any given time, I’ve yet to see a single whelp pet for sale while playing my orc.

I do plan to keep watching the auction house and hoping for the best. But I was hopeful that there might perhaps be some overlooked vendor in a lower level zone selling the schematic.

Yes Calabar this is verry correct, and I have a little insight as to why it is not at the AH. Limited Supply, I did a naked Death Hop to get to the lil Gnomes on the cost, i got mine and then logged off came back a few hrs later and got a extra , but before i could put it up, a guildie started begging for it, so i gave it to him, my guess is that most folks that go though all the trouble to get it are in a hurry to get out and dont wait for the respawn, and then when they are high enuff level to eazly go their, they just dont see the few silver in proffit as "Worth While". The best trick i could think of is to get some shaman to Water Walk you and run up form duntor, or just swimm it, their is some sea life in the water but only a issue at the end when you need to get up to their little light hosue, On a diffrent server i swam me druid up their and just bought it for a freind.

Thanks. That was very informative. I didn’t realize I might be able to swim it. I’ll give that a try tonight. It’ll be a lot more fun then watching the auction house. I don’t mind the risk of death, as long as I have a reasonable chance of success.

not only reasonable, a verry good chance. just got a reply form a guildie via email, he just swamm his hunter up their, said the biggest issue was getting out of the water and up on to the lil place where the light hosue was(it wasnt as tough with waterwalk if you dont get hit by underwater mobs)

From reading you other posts I know you are not the try once and give up kind of player, I have faith you will get it.

I made the swim last night. The mobs I encountered in the water were too high level for me to decipher at level 43. So my agro range was rather large. I managed to avoid all but one of the watery mobs. Thankfully Sabor, my tiger companion, is extremely brave. He attacked the crustacean, giving me time to escape. Somehow we both managed to escape with our lives. And to my surprise I found myself at the very doorstep I was searching for.

The gnomes were very friendly, even to an orc, and sold me the deepdive helmet schematic for a very reasonable price. Within the hour I had constructed a deepdive helmet of my very own.

Thanks for all the help. I never would have thought to swim there on my own.

/cheer calbar, The first time I went to get the plans for the helm, I managed to get all the way in to the zone at 40, but couldnt for the life of me find the little path that took me down their. I jumped in figuring I could just die next to the gnomes and then rez on the lil plato they are on, but managed to find a way up, now i just recomend folks swimm it when they need the plans.
