Quick Question...Once you hit 300 mining are there any benefits or bonuses?

Hmm...If i'm not mistaken the only benefit would be that you would mine rare gems more often and never have any failed attempts on mining...(I guess I can't say for sure if the gem occurance is calculated by randomness, timers, or your mining skill, but my best bet would be to go with you skill...)

After your reach 300 in mining, it is now time to go into BRD, UBRS, LBRS or MC and acquire dark iron ore. If you haven't been trained upon smelting it make sure you go into BRD to become trained from one of the ghost in the chamber with the seven ghost. Then if you are any form of blacksmith acquire the patterns from within these places and make the items. Good luck though it take 8 dark iron ore to make one bar.

During the Beta, Blizzard stated categorically that the contents of an ore vein are determinied when it spawns, and that skill does not affect the contents. Unless its been changed, skill only affects
a) if you can mine the vein
b) sucess/failure rate of a particular attempt
