Minning Trade Skill??Follow

#1 Jul 08 2005 at 5:46 AM Rating: Decent
I'm sure this has been answered but I'll ask again or someone can direct me to where I can find the answer. Alright well I just picked up minning as a trade, now I"m a level 18 night elf, but I would like to know an estimate of what things go for at the AH rather then selling to a vender cause I know they rip you off, not sure if someone could make a chart for copper, tin, etc and the values so I know what to go for, thanks for the help.

if you type in the particular item you want to know about in the search box and the go to its page it has auction price info attached to it this is generally the best way to go.

you can try getting LOOT LINK, and everytime you are at the auction, search it using LL.

it tells you the prices of these items on ur server (that you have seen), how much they sell at vendors, what they are used for, and what they disenchant into.

good mod!

Such a chart as you describe would be useless before you could finish making it. Prices fluctuate from server to server and even day to day on the same server. What I do is open the AH window and type in the name of the item I want to auction off in the search area. This will bring up all such items currently on the AH. Then I can price my items appropriately. Or I may decide not to auction them off at all that day because the AH is too flooded.

I would recommend two things. One, always put a buyout price on craft supplies. If someone come looking for iron bars it’s usually because they need them right then. Most people won’t want to wait until the auction is over. Second, I’d recommend placing most items on a 24 hour bid. It’s a bit more expensive, but you’ll get more exposure.

Another excellent mod to help you is Auctioneer. This mod will pop-up a window when you mouse over an item with information on highest selling price , lowest, median, and vendor... along with what professions the item is used in and a lot more. At first it may seem like too much but it will soon grow to be invaluable to you if you are "playing" the AH. Sure it takes time when you have to scan the AH but I believe it is worth it.

(note: As a side bonus, Auctioneer will fill in starting and buy out prices for your auctions based on historical data for that item to help you get your goods sold, or it will tell you that the automatic auction values it supplies cannot beat the current low auctions using it's trend analysis.)
