I seem to be stuck in a catch 22...
I have done the 3 "Mithril quests" in Stranglethorn and learned how to make:
Ornate Mithril Gloves
Ornate Mithril Pants
Ornate Mithril Shoulders
So far so good...I need to make them for 3 other quests, which I believe I got in Gadgetzan...but I also need to make
Heavy Mithril Boots
Heavy Mithril Breastplate
Mithril Coif
But how can I make these, when they require more than 225 in smithing, and I can't get that before I make them???
And all along I really need to make
Ornate Mithril Helm
Ornate Mithril Boots
Ornate Mithril Breastplate
How will I learn to make these?

While it might sound wierd, this is what I did.
There are some low component plans that will enable to raise your skill enough, I think I went for the Mith Spurs, not too sure what else I made off hand, and while your out there, mine untill you burst or die from trying. trust me you will need the materials

I had the same problem at lvl40...
First quest you get in IF to create the items, I had to complete several (I think 6 lvl45 quests) in blacksmithing in order to complete it, in terms of recipes.
I decided to take the short cut (but expensive)
Play an additional raid on the AH. Most items are to be found there.
Some you create yourself and others you buy.

in order to get above 225 in blacksmithing you must go to the master trainer in Booty Bay...he will open your skill up to 300 after training as well as provide the recipes you need.

no thats incorrect. going to the trainer in booty will open ur lvl to 300 however the recipes you need for the 6 quests are rewards u get when u bring them the quest itmes they need.
