I took elemental l/working as it was the best compliment to my rogue as in agility and stamina gear. Now i have 300 in it and i am pulling my hair out there are no pattens tribal and dragonscale have a lot of pattens to craft.

Elemental has bugger all and when i do get a patten its go and gather 12 of baron rivendales ********* and onixya toe nails to make an item that sells for 2g, there is only one decent patten i have so far its the helm of fire.

Also the volcanic breast plate was on the AH last bided price was 45g that shows how desperate ppl are to get the very few pattens there are out there.

I'm just on the verge of chucking elemental crafting in and starting another profesion.

What are the thoughts of the other ppl out there that went the Elemental path?

Ya, I took elemental too and now I'm wishing I took Tribal, just for the Devilsaur set, I'll still make the stormshroud set for myself to get through the 50's and maybe compliment that with part of the Shadowcraft set, I think they will compliment eachother very well...

anyway the essence of air is too much$ to make any money creating the Stormshroud items and there really isnt much else to make.

As far as I know (and heard of), Elemental leatherworking is good for rogues (and maybe hunters) and is the better of the two if you intend to sell and auction. Dragonscale creates mail good for shamans and hunters (they take leather and later on move to mail), most of the time, the reagents are harder/hardest to get out of all of them. Tribal leatherworking is for the druids (shamans?), mid in selling and auctioning.

I have elemental LW too, can make some serious profit with selling the stormshroud shoulders, and later on you can make the Shifting Cloakand the Molten Helm if you're able to get the patterns, that cloak sells for bout 900G on our server, and its the best cloak for hunters/rogues.

If you are lucky enough to get a pattern for the SHifting Cloak I would not drop leatherworking. That item is in high demand and you could make a lot of money off it.
