Leather Crafting Question...Follow

I am a Lv17 Undead Rogue and I have just obtained the recipes for Murloc Scale Armor and Murloc Scale Belt.

I am a Skinner/Leathercrafter and these items are the best thing I can find to wear.

Only one slight problem though:

Where does one get Slimy Murloc Scales? I've tried killing hordes of Murlocs up near Brill, I've tried the Murlocs in Silverpine near The Shining Strand (north of Fenris Island). The only thing I got from these were Small Barnacled Clams which were good for raising my Cooking Skill, and a dagger that was better than the one I had.

However, not one single Slimy Murloc Scale dropped..

Where do I get these things? Its a Lv14 armor, surely they wouldn't make us kill Lv20 some Murlocs just to get the stupid scales to make it. I tried checking Orgrimmar's Auction House, but no go. No one was selling them there. I also tried looking for an alternative armor that I could wear instead, but the lowest level Leather they were selling was Lv25. Erk. I can't use Embossed Leather clear up until Lv25...

As it is I'm taking more damage than I'd like to be.

Suggestions?

im a lvl 19 Night Elf hunter and the only molocs I have found that have those scales are the lvl 18-23(highest I could kill) ones.

This armor is not really ment for your use its more for sale in the auction house. Sad but true.

Even though you are a horde char. try the murlocs on the far side of Lakeshire in Redridge mountains - just be sure to stay away from the alliance NPCs they WILL kick ur bum. I think they are about lvl 18 also and they drop some but not a whole lot - the good thing is that there is always someone else there so u can be prety sure not to pull some extra aggro when picking ur foes out.

Happy hunting!

Imradil's idea about lakeshire is really good. I spent there grinding some time with my leathercraft rogue, it gives you top xp/hour, lots of drops to sell, and you get the scales. I made some of the Murloc Scale Armor and put it on AH for around 69s and they sold. Those murlocs are great :)

Update:

I got my armor and I'm still Lv18. Hehe.

I farmed the Murlocs at the North End of Fenris Isle.

I will warn you however:

Doing this is VERY dangerous. I died once, and almost died several other times, and it took me forever to find a safe(r) camp.

I got the armor, but not the belt. The belt is only 2 more def than my current belt, but my current belt is a green belt with +stats. Not worth it.
