I am a 36 Warrior on a new US server "Gurubashi", my blacksmith lvl is @ 230 and i cant decide what to do when i hit 40. if anybody who has chosen either path's please respond with what you think about it. i want something that will benefit me as well as making me some money. any posts are appreciated. thx.

I am in exactly the same situation. I would like to make money with my trade skill weap/armor but it would be nice if my skills benefited my char.
Please... someone with XP on the situation post some pros and cons to the two paths.

Me and a guildy, both pallys, around your level decided 1 should go armour the other weapon.....
I went weapon and made a fair bit of money from it.......
At level 60 he's still bitter that he's the armoursmith :)
Weapons sell well as lots of classes can use them.....
Good armour stuff is plate and thats restrictive.The main thing he's bitter about is that as a weaponsmith i can still make lots of armour....the only ones i cant do are the armoursmith only items.
The imperial plate set is available to all smiths no matter what specialisation. It's not great for making money though cos every smith uses it to level their skill so the market gets flooded :)
Be a weapon smith if only for the TS Champ sold loads and used it 4 ages and ages....

Well I became a Weaponsmith with my Paladin a long time ago. Found it interesting, but not too usefull. To make some of the best selling weapons early on (say like Phantom Blade) you need to farm a lot or buy really expensive items. Ultimateley, you win around 5-10 gold (at least that was my case). I never got far with Weaponsmith, so I don't know the end, but for the time I had it, I didn't found it too usefull, considering how some drops were much better than what I could make.
Making Arcanite Reaper FTW! Mad money in making these things. Im only at lvl 150ish BS'ing and a 31 warrior. When I hit 40, im going Wepond Smith -> Axe Smith. Good money, On Tichondria any ways.
