I have been looking for those things for a while now in burning steppes,eastern plaguelands,winterspring and azhara but I haven't found them...
Can someone give me some tips where in those zones to look for thease veins?

I have seen a couple on the fiery mountain in Un'Goro crater. I hear they are also located in Sithilus, but I haven't spent to much time there myself.
Seen a couple in my travels through Eastern Plaguelands. And have seen one on scan in the mines/tunnels below burning steppes but could never get to them.

Hard to run accross these mines for 2 reasons. They are a rare mine to find, and also the gold farmers know where and when they are popping up, so makes the regular player have a hard time.

where:yes, but so can anyone else, heck Ive memorized where mining points are in several places just by going there a lot

Best place i found is the Searing Gorge for them, and they also have a chance to drop Arcane Crystals, Huge Emeralds, Star Ruby, Azerothian Diamonds.
But all the campers know this too, so there are usually 2 to 5 miners on the map, which makes it slow to get large amounts of Thorium :(.

I have been keeping this as a secret but I think its time to share it. If u are high level enough(say lvl-60), Silithus is the best place for Rich Thorium Veins. I have collected more than 200 thorium bars and 6 arcance srystals from Silithus. These veins are inside the elite bee area, which are guarded by 56-60 elite bees. U have to sneak in to them and mine without aggroing them. Most times u aggro some and ended up being chaed by 2-4 elites and my lvl 60 warrior sometimes drops! But it worths.. relatively high number of rich thorium veins. Most times I end up getting 20+thorium bars and an arcane crystal. Only few people on my server venture into Silithus(I think not many people know much abt Silithus). I did all available quests for this are and thats why I came across with these mines. Good luck!
I found 3 or 4 the other day in Un'Goro, then kicked myself over and over and over (and over and over) again for not having my Mining Helmet with me ... I'm 265 and Mining +5 on my gloves ...
