No where, except maybe the Auction House.

Tine can be found in The Barrens as well as Stonetalon and Ashenvale. You'll need to level a little bit.

Silver is a rare spawn of tin, or so I've heard, so finding it is just a matter of luck.

You need to get a few levels. There is only one or two consistent tin spawns I can think of that a 15 could get to. First, there's usually one in the area of the quillboar camps NE of the Crossroads; second, in the extreme NW of the Barrens there's a mountainous area of beasts and harpies that sometimes spawns a tin. Mostly copper, though.

Oh, one more. For some reason, there's sometimes a tin spawn at the bottom of one of the three oases in the Barrens.

I'm told there's a cave in southern Silverpine with good tin, but I've never been there and can't vouch for the level range. *shrugs*

The place in Silverpine is the Deep Elm Mine, South(I think) of Sepulcher. The area is inhabited by various Bloodscalps ranging from 14-17, and there is a named (non-elite/non-rare) Bloodscalp named something the Pale in the back of the mine. The Tin deposit in the back of the mine often spawns as Silver.

Further south in Silverpine is Berins Peril (level 20ish mine full of undead) there are Tin and I think Silver nodes. I solo'd this at 24 with my (now deleted) Warlock and it was extremely difficult.

Also there is tin all over Silverpine once you are in your 20's and can wander around with little to fear. I believe there is a Cu node near Pyrewood that occasionally spawns as Tin, but has Bloodsnout Wargs all over it.

There are 2 tin deposits that can be found in the lake around Fenris Isle, I never noted the exact locations. There are Frenzys near both iirc (lvl 15-16), and these can be a tad rough if they are still in your yellow range.

Tin is fairly common in the Southern Barrens, also once you are into the upper teens, twenties.

Generally your not going to find Tin or Silver except as a rare spawn in areas with mid-high teens mobs, so get grinding! :)

Joxie just gave away the best lower level mine in the game, IMO. Not the one that has the bloodscalps, but the one that has the ravenclaw's in it, that is right above the dalaran wizards camp.

One note about mining. Nodes that are inside mines and nodes that are outside mines are set on differnet timers. Mines are considered "mini-dungeons." they have a higher concentration of baddies so the the nodes are set on a faster respawn rate. So if you find a mine that has 3-4 nodes in it, stick in the area. it will take some time, but these nodes will respawn faster than ones outside. So you can either A.) travel around trying to find more nodes or just hunker down, kill things and wait for them to respawn. When i was upping my mining level, I just camped out at a mine that was well below me, got up, did other things checking back ever few minutes (sometimes finding bodies around me from where my pet had saved me.) when the nodes respawned, I just went back in.

Also, gems are more likely to pop up in a mine than they are in an outside node.

Yep, I'm havin the same trouble. I'm lvl 26 and getting Tin in Ahshenvale is quite the challenge, considering the many high lvl alliance that love to attack Splintertree Post. Oh yes, and, buying copper on the Magtheridon is pretty pricey, I've seen a stack of copper bars go for 1g or more... which is plainly crazy.
