Qustion about Changing Profession... :: Free Realms

Hi all,

Currently my profession is Skinning (150/150) and Tailoring (74/???). What will happen if I change profession to let's say Mining and Engineering? Will I have the option to change back to Skinning and Tailoring? Will those points remains when I switch back or I 'll have to start over?

I had the same thought.

So i tried it out on the last day of the european beta - i dropped my tailoring, accepted other skills and then dropped them and took up tailoring again.

Bad news is that it was back to the start :(

If you have a friend who is going to change professions get him to do what i did and check if it is still the case. I would only cost the extra 10 or 20C. :D

So how exactly do you "drop" a profession in order to take up the new one?

The points will be lost. You'll have to start from the beginning again.

Click on one of your primary skills on your skills list. At the bottom of the screen, youll see an esplanation of the skill, a green bar and a little red button. click on the red button to drop the skill.

I love how they hide the drop skill button. That's one of those important functions that should be a bit more obvious as opposed to the giant buttons in your spellbook that tell you your "passive" traits. Last time I checked, you don't need to actually DO anything with those...
