I'm in a bad situation, and I feel as if I made a bad choice. I am a level 27 warrior and my job choices are mining and engineering. I am happy with mining, cause' it brings in the monay. Engineering, on the other hand, is a different story.

I picked engineering thinking it looked fun (Hey I get a friggin chicken and dynamite, right?), but I feel as If I'm wrong. The goggles were helpfull right up until I could find mail helmets, at which point my only benefit from engineering went out the door. Even the lenses doesn't seem to be as helpfull for a class that can wear mail/plate. The worst part is that my engineering is already 225, and there isn't anything usefull as of yet, meaning that I have 13 more levels before I can even get something new.

Right now I have about 25 gold and 7 stacks of greater magic essence. Our guilds enchanter isn't showing a great deal of promise, and it has been suggested that we need a new one.

What I really would like to know is if there are ANY worthwhile benefits to engineering (I'm talking even up to level 300), whether they be combat or monetary. If not I'd like to know if I should pick something like skinning to make some more money or just go straight for enchanting.

As a hunter i find my chose to stay with the profession endlessly usefull, i love the feign death jumper cables combo... i like making shot, my deep dive helm allows me to mine(and feed our guld smith) underwater, my Guldies love getting spyglasses to scout, and not a cash cow...some explosives sell OK to vendors.
The enchanting supplyes you listed are not a lot to get ya started on enchanting but if your guild will feed ya stuff to get ya up thier on enchanging, then maybe that is the chosie for you, I couldnt see giving it up ya the goggels are worthless for anybody but a cloth user(although they do look cool)goblin engenering has a bomb called the big one that lays a mean stun on a pack of baddies, and some of the last bombs in the chain look good like the one that drains mana, i just cant give up my bag of tricks(remote controle, dragonling, jumper calbes, deep dive helm, parachute cloke, discombobulator rays, goblin bomb dispencer, dragon gun...ext)
But as a warrior maybey it is not the chose for you...it is best to drop it b4 ya pay the 5 g to upgrade to the next level of engenering...
As a side not in my opinion you are at the perfect level to start enchanting...ya will be able to do uldaman at just the right time to uncap you skill and you find more greens than a low level char(thats when enchaning is the most frustrating imho)
hope it helps

ooops you said 7 stacks of greater essence... thats plenty ... go for it
