I'm in a bad situation, and I feel as if I made a bad choice. I am a level 27 warrior and my job choices are mining and engineering. I am happy with mining, cause' it brings in the monay. Engineering, on the other hand, is a different story.
I picked engineering thinking it looked fun (Hey I get a friggin chicken and dynamite, right?), but I feel as If I'm wrong. The goggles were helpfull right up until I could find mail helmets, at which point my only benefit from engineering went out the door. Even the lenses doesn't seem to be as helpfull for a class that can wear mail/plate. The worst part is that my engineering is already 225, and there isn't anything usefull as of yet, meaning that I have 13 more levels before I can even get something new.
Right now I have about 25 gold and 7 stacks of greater magic essence. Our guilds enchanter isn't showing a great deal of promise, and it has been suggested that we need a new one.
What I really would like to know is if there are ANY worthwhile benefits to engineering (I'm talking even up to level 300), whether they be combat or monetary. If not I'd like to know if I should pick something like skinning to make some more money or just go straight for enchanting.
