Alittle confusedFollow

Hello, I'm still new to this game and I want to start crafting. I had my mind set on mining and blacksmithing, but since I'm a warrior, I want to do first aid.

Now what I'm confused on is whats this primary and secondary stuff? Can I do all of the 3 crafts that I wanted to do?

Hello, and welcome to the forum!

Click on this link please: http://wow.allakhazam.com/dyn/skills.html

Primary: You can only train in two of these, MAX.
Secondary: You can train in ALL of these, there is no limit.

Hope that helps. Tried to keep it simple :)

That helps but I don't see mining. :(

99% sure Mining is a Primary Tradeskill, as well as Skinning.

Yes, they fall under the gathering professions with herbalism.

You have a 2 primary trade skill limit.
The three secondary trade skills - Cooking, Fishing & First aid DO NOT count towards this limit of two.
So everybody can have ALL the secodary trade skills plus choose 2 other skills for their maximum quota.
The gathering skills...mining, skinning & herbalism are primary trade skills.

I just reached level 200 in Blacksmithing. I'm also a Miner. Don't go into Blacksmithing as a way to make a lot of money. The metals involved in the craft are the least of your worries. The rare stuff like gems, rare earths, leather and even things like flux often have to be purchased in order to level up significantly. I have found that for most Blacksmith crafted items at or below my level, it's much cheaper to purchase at the Auction House (even at buyout prices) than to make it yourself. Maybe this changes with Artesian crafted items... I'll see. Last night I made six "Green Iron Helms" to get to level 200 and had to sell them at or below vendor buy prices in the Auction House. I wanted to get stuff with "Made By: Me" on character's heads.

Don't ignore cooking. It seems like a lot of folks do. Higher level dishes grant a 15 minute buff of 10-12 on both stamina and spirit. Kind of nice when youre grinding.
