Master Tailor (or) NOT?Follow

#1 Jan 05 2005 at 4:45 PM Rating: Decent
The Master Tailor, located on second floor in a house left side (whatever his name is...), at Theramore won't train me, even though I got 279/300 skill! Becoming ubberly hard to raise my skill without any new tailoring recipes, such as the one involving runecloths!

Is there a quest needs to be done to get Master Tailor Training or push my skill to 300/300?

I'd be very pleased if someone replied with helpful info how to get Master Tailor!

As far as i know, no trainer in any profession will train something over 250, with the exception of quested recipes. Probably will get corrected with 50 examples, but i know for sure that there are none for tailoring.

You have to find/purchase the recipes yourself. Thottbot is your friend.

FYI: get started on making mooncloth as soon as you can. has a crazy cooldown timer.

There is no Master skill level, and you can not be trained in it.

Please.....I was thinking that I might have to just take a break because I know that there is silk in the Arathi Highlands, but is there a place that is more for my level?

Well, for all humanoids, cloth drops are based off level. If you need silk, you will just have to kill higher level stuff. I think you need ~25+ humanoids for silk.

This is blizzard's way of restricting your tradeskill level by your class level. It only gets worse.

Basically, you're gonna have to wait.

As a priest i don't do much grinding, so i do instances like stockades and gnomeragon, then my party lets me have the silk. I also have a few people in my guild that keep my inbox filled with cloth. A great way for me is to partner with my mage friend while we AoE humanoid camps. I heal him while he nukes, usually kill 10 evens in 20 seconds. End up with good xp and 3 or 4 stacks of cloth.

Basically, with tailoring, you are always needing a cloth you can not farm yet, for an item you can not wear yet. Once you get high enough to wear it, you no longer need it.

So be patient and don't buy it off the AH.
