The pattern to make them is sold by the CE Quartermaster. The bag is crafted and BoE.

Not confirmed. I'll go with what it says in the item description itself until I get several confirmations that it works on Blood Elves only. Let's get a magic user over there that belongs to a different race to confirm

I didn't see that anyone posted about this but, Bloodthistle is only for Blood Elfs. {{Which sucks for any of the other horde characters that I have.}} Also, and I mean no disrespect but, the item says: "Bloodthistle ~ Race:Blood Elf ~ Use: Increased damage and healing done by magical spells and effects by a small amount for 10 min."
I do thank you for making a list of the herbs and locations. {{bows}} Thanks very much for that! =D

The guide is being wikified as we speak. First part is done and viewable here:

http://wow.allakhazam.com/wiki/Herbalism_Guide_Part_1_%28WoW%29

Bear in mind, the formatting is not complete yet but you can see how it will look in general. Given the sheer size, I am having to break it up into several sections but they will be listed in order.

Not bad - It would be nice if the individual plants were linked - for example the very first entry is Bloodvine - it would probably be better as [wowitem=19726]Bloodvine[/wowitem]. I know that's a lot of work, but I'll help if possible.

-Page 3- Plants, and the zones they are found in (MAPS)

I'm in the process of revising Page 3 - Map linkage has been simplified in the new Alla, and I'm changing the way that page 3 works. It's a fairly involved process (not complicated, but tedious). Bear with me for a while.

6/4/08 Revised Page 3 map access to linked maps - changed page titles to a different (more visible) color

Each of the herbs is linked but it looks like the link text is really light with the new skin for the site.

Ok Mike, part two is up foir you based on your post here. You can see it at the following: http://wow.allakhazam.com/wiki/Herbalism_Guide_Part_2_%28WoW%29

Now, if you prefer a different format, you or anyone else is more than free to go in and move things around or whatever, this is just a standard format I use when I convert someones guide here. You also have credit at the top and bottom for it. So, should you want to do columns different, colors etc, feel free.

Ok, all the herbs should be linked now but let me know if they aren't or go ahead and link them in if you like. It's your guide, I simply wikified it so whatever you would like to do is totally cool with me.

I do have a few changes I'm gonna make to the layout, looks like I have a few boo boos in there.

Now, please forgive me if I'm wrong here, as I'm going from memory...

In your list of herbs, and their uses, you list Dreaming Glory being used in Super Healing Potions, and Netherbloom being used in Super Mana Potions.

I have something tickling the back of my head suggesting that a Super Mana Potion is 2 x Dreaming Glory, and 1 x Felweed, whilst a Super Healing Potion is Netherbloom and Felweed (cannot remember quantities, sorry).

That is to say, you may have inadvertently switched the two types of pots in that list.

Thanks for finding the glitch.

Great guide, but it could help if we knew where to go when we are looking for a specific herb. Some herbs are sparsely scattered in a zone, while they may be abundantly placed in another zone. If we had a list of each herb showing the 'best' zone to find it in, it could save plenty of time. I note this only because I am raising my Thorium Brotherhood faction and needing lots of Kingsblood it would have been nice to know which zone had the greatest concentration of it. But aside from this, the guide was immensely helpful!

IF you follow the links, they have maps of each area that have spawns. Not sure if they have the number of spawns, that helps alot.

11/15/08 Added Goldclover - added Northrend plants to leveling (page 6)

Please bear with me. I'm going to be adding the Northrend plants, and there may be some errors at first.

Adder's Tongue is found in Sholazar Basin, haven't really seen it anywhere else. Used in Northrend Alchemy Research, Elixir of Expertise/Deadly Strikes/Mighty Agility, Potion of Speed, Mighty Alchemists Stone

Would be useful to see Frost Lotus, Ice Thorn, Lichbloom, Adder's Tongue (mentioned above), and their respective drop zones. My herbalist has been in Borean Tundra and Howling Fjord with minor exposure to Grizzly Hills and some instances. However, he is already 450 herbalism.

A couple points:

-Lichbloom, Ice Thorn, Adder's Tongue, Gold Clover, Tiger Lily, and Telandre's Rose can be gathered from mobs in Nexus.
-Frost Lotus can be gathered from any Northern Herb (I've even gotten one from Gold Clover in the Fjord).
-Frost Lotus is a plant as well.
