Irregardless of how you might feel about the Bush administration, this thread isn't about Bush and what he's doing in Iraq. This thread is a farewell to Linkavage, let's leave it at that.

I apologize if I have added any grief to this post it boils my blood to see the death of one of my brothers in arms turned into a pulpit for anti-war propaganda. Linkavage I did not know or meet you in service but our goals and beliefs in life were the same and I thank you for your service and will continue to serve with the memory of you and my other fallen brothers. R.I.P. God, Country, Corps.

that is sad to hear. I was stationed in Iraq for a little, and its not a pretty thing. It's a life changing experience to lose one in the line of duty. I am just glad to finally be stationed back at home in the US. I didnt know Link much, but saw him around. My prayers go out to his loved ones.

Haven't been on Allakhazam's server in months. Just now read about Michael's life taken away.

There is no words that can describe what I feel right now.

Beeing a 3 time war vet myself, you think I would of found a way to deal with the emotions. I'm speechless. I truly don't know what to type. But I want to say something..anything.

May your soul rest in peace.

It's sad to hear that a person we knew and liked had to be taken away. I didn't know him as well as I'd have liked to, there never seemed to be enough time to get to know newer people. Times like this are when the people behind our online personas come to life. I don't think it really occurs to most people that these things can happen in a virtual world. It makes me sad every time I hear about someone quitting the game, so needless to say this is a big shock. I'll miss seeing him around in game. Here's to Linkavage, may he find eternal bliss.

I didn't unfortunately know Linkavage but I have nothing but all the respect in the world for people with the courage to join the military and risk their lives to protect the rest of us. I don't even have to have known Linkavage to know that he was braver than I am, and I hope he is in a better place.

Rest in Peace.

Deja vu! Funny how this post was revived like this again today. Yesterday in Sky, as our linkshell prepared for God fights; I arrived at Genbu island. There was something different about this day in particular and I was thinking about Linkavage.

While we prepared to set up for our ally; I ran around through the flowers. When I came upon the view at the edge of the island; I was reminded of my very first times in Sky. Linkavage was the first person who offered to lead me there.

When we got there; we ran over to the edge of Genbu island and sat down in the flowers facing the view. That became like a ritual for both of us, as we became very good friends during our time together in Wasp.

Linkavage, a tall, imposing, Elvaan towering over me used to *emote* *Linkavage picks Femwhispers up and twirls her around*. While I always teased him that I was probably old enough to be his mom; he never ceased to make me feel special and a valued friend.

Linkavage often told me of his dreams; asked me about mine; my family. We exchanged pictures. He spoke of his lonliness being in Japan far away from his friends and family and most of all of his dream one day to find the right person to love.

I am amazed how real our memories stay while we play virtual characters in a virtual game! I will never forget him; and somehow I think I'll always think of him and be reminded of him in one way or another.

Most of all I have a feeling Linkavage is in a place where all his dreams and wishes have come true.

Thanks for keeping his memory alive!

/smile.

A truly touching post Fem...you brought a tear to this crusty old cynic's eye.

Thanks for sharing your memories.

RIP Linkavage
