Dynamis info please :)Follow

Hey all, if anyone have some time, can someone explain me then a little bit how Dynamis works.
Found 1 guide and searched some info on cannotlinkto and killingifrit.com but I have still a few questions:

- How to obtain AF2 stuff?

- Check this link first: http://killingifrit.com/page.php?id=298
Do you have to pay a npc with this stuff (Byne Bill, M. Silverpiece, L. Jadeshell) before you can get one of those items.

- How does the Relic weapon upgrade stuff works?

- Can you make some money with Dynamis?

- Do you get experience points with it?

- Think im lvl 65 white mage in 2 weeks, is there a Dynamis-linkshell i can join in about 2 or 3 weeks?

Hope someone can answer it all ^^

thx

AF2 is dropped from the mobs in Dynamis, rare drops at best. They can drop from any of the mobs you fight, along with dynamis currency.

Those items listed on killingifrit can be bought on the AH and looks like some of them are drops from dynamis itself. I know Angel Skin and Damascus ingots aren't, at least I haven't seen them drop from dynamis ever. And if I read that list correctly, it requires 700 T Whiteshells for an angel skin...which is at best estimate 14 million gil I think if you buy the shells or at most 7 million for about 7 runs to obtain the shells if the LS you run with allows you to sponsor. Better off buying off the AH, angel skin runs I believe last time I checked about 1 million. And yes, you have to trade the Goblin NPC the dynamis currency to obtain the items listed.

Relic Upgrade is done by first obtaining the relic weapon of the job of your choice. There are four stages, the goblin NPCs will tell you what is needed for each stage. It requires dynamis currency to upgrade to the next stages, and it gets progessively more expensive. Upgrading relic weapons is by no means cheap, requires millions and millions of gil to upgrade to the final stage or many many months of sponsoring runs. Very few people have the final stage of their relic weapon.

Each shell that does dynamis is different, I know DVS3 at one point sold and split dynamis currency amongst those that came to a run. How much you made was dependent on how much currency dropped and how many got relic armor(AF2). Honestly the only way to make gil in dynamis is that route or sponsor your own runs and sell the currency. However I don't see any endgame shell that does dynamis allowing that. Most allow sponsoring for relic upgrades only.

Dynamis or 'Die'namis as some will call it, is an xp drain. Expect to die and die alot, even the best groups will wipe, nothing like seeing 30+ or 40+ or even 50+ people dead in dynamis. In the northlands, mobs will drop xp scrolls, but the amount of xp you get is next to nothing. The answer to your question, is no, you won't get xp, you will just lose xp.

Hope that answers your questions.

AF2 stuff drops from mobs in Dynamnis. They're very rare drops. About 10 to 15 will drop per run on a normal basis.

AF2+1 needs pieces from the CoP Dynamis - which you need to pass CoP 3-5 to be able to enter. Worry about AF2 first.

Relic Weapon upgrades are very difficult and generally require a full linkshell to sponsor one person for a year or so to be able to complete one weapon. They're basically a pain in the butt.

You generally don't make money in Dynamis unless you are a sponsor, and most shells have strict rules about who can sponsor runs. Even then, the sponsors are usually collecting coins for their weapon upgrades.

You don't get any experience points. You usually lose experience points.

You also need to be at least rank 6 to attend.

You can join my runs on Sundays at 5pm EST if you'd like. We're just starting a city rotation and we welcome new people. You need to be able to beat the cities before hitting the northlands. Our first one is tomorrow in Bastok but you probably won't be able to attend that yet. Check our website for more information on our runs.

10-15 is average when you go in with 40-50 people I'd say. Most LS's I think go in with 20-30 on Shiva so I'd guess they have the average of 3-5 AF2's, at least that was the average of most of my runs with SWP and AT when in that range. 30-35 people seem to be streaky and sometimes it's 3-5 and sometimes 7-10. Really depends on how many mobs you kill.

@OP - You're a 65whm, your relic weapon doesn't help you do anything but think you can melee (which you still can't that well) so don't even worry about it =P

And I'd wait a few more levels until Dynamis. People will want you at 70 for RB3. You might be safest waiting until 75 for RRB3 though =P

Every DL kill I've been involved in has dropped ring. True story.

Well, I do usually take in 50+ people on my Sunday runs, which are opens. And we tend to full clear the cities now, which helps. Sometimes we do get less than 10 drops but usually at least 10.

We had a BCD run recently with 7 drops, which was nice. Xarcabard still averages 3 but one run a few weeks ago we had a single stupid bard drop.

Come to our Dynamis. We get stupid WAR and BRD drops constantly. Of course, if you came, we'd never see a single one ever again.
