Yes that's the way to go with Minotaur, just let everyone (AND their pets if you have BSTs... very nice when they have IT slimes and pugils charmed and familiar'd).
The problem is getting to the library area once you're done. It also helps to have a THF to pick the doors so you don't have to mess around with Fomors. Or farm the keys well in advance and spend some time clearing your hate (You don't want any Fomor hate when you get upstairs >.>)

Gonna do a 2-3 run today/tonight, possibly. Should be on Mammets by next wk if not later.
I've been getting several /tells in game for help on Mammets and Oryu and so forth.
So far with the access complete for the ppl who needed it done, we've decided to form an LS strictly for this; CoP missions, still figuring out how many we'd do a week and depending on ppl's schedules due in fact that this static idea was made during late summer and now with classes up again there will be obvious changes.
For now the LS will be made, I'm not leading it, another person doing the CoP is. I'll post it when its ready and ls messages will detail the CoP mission to be done.

Did a minotaur run on Friday, beat it and even managed to squeeze in an nm fight against Tres Duendes, got the dagger only.
Anyways, doing a Mammets fight this Wed. and then moving onto Diablos after those capped fights.
Already got you a pearl Eleazar but I still need to find Nasiya.

Any chance you guys are going to do another Minotaur run?

Been busy with school but the Mammet run was rescheduled. I did try a Mamment fight in a /shout put together and for the most part it went well but we lost, we didn't have a 2nd capable kiter and our Rdm and Smn were JP so we may have had some communication mix ups but not a big deal.
As for another Minotaur run I'm not sure yet unless we do a subligar run.
As for Oryu, if everything goes well we should be on that mission soon, definitely before Halloween.

i'm stuck on promy vazhl, i'm willing to help if you can guarantee (or very close to) that we'll try a mission (or two) once every week.

I'm on 4-2 fight. If anyone needs a nin, rdm or sam(49atm) let me know. Im down for the fight. I have a few feathers for mistmelts too so we don't have to farm AS many.

One problem I did find was that there have been a lot of ppl /telling me in game for help and I'm trying to get those who asked passed the mission they are on but this is lacking consistency and I'm sorry if I haven't been able to get back to those who asked yet, if CoP were easy we'd all be done by now.
For now I'll be restarting the static.

I'm currently on Mammets and if we can get a decent setup i'm willing to go minatour again (i did solo sneaking-draw in trick twice, i know my way around there, MASSIVE fomor hate on me now though ^^)

The static I was in got burned out part of the way through 5-3 over disagreements about scheduling (namely the fact that the number of missions we were attempting per week was a bit high and too late in the day for most people). It sucks to get that far and have your group break up, but that's life in FFXI.
eh my static dissipated because 3 of my members stopped talking/responding to me. it was a kick in the nuts because i saw them online and actually there (not idling/afk etc.) and i /poke'd them too >_>. so i've essentially given up hope on creating and forming a group to do anything (its always failed for me in the past, without a doubt)
i am on that same exact mission for the minatour. let me know in game if you want to do this. i can bring pretty much any job, but blu/nin is what i have been using and currently have 40 gear for.
I don't mind going for Minotaur cause I also want to do some Subligar farming. As for the static I may do CoP missions with another group, or maybe just do them along the way as the opportunity presents itself.

After the failed static I decided to just get some LS members past the Promies so we could all do CoP together and farm subligars during free time. Should be done with the Promies before Dec. cause of time restraints and then I'll look around for ppl who need Minotaur and just run a massive alliance down there.

LOL. Revenant...looks like you don't have to worry about CoP 2-3 anymore...we did it tonite! hehe! =) Congratulations!?!
Don't give up hope on CoP. a month ago I was all like bleh, ***** CoP I don't need it. Got in a great ls, and after finishing ZM, I decided might as well. Got all the way to CoP 5-3 so far, and getting through that pretty smoothly. Done missions as nin, drg, war, blu, sam, you name it, there's a lot of good combos.
One thing I noticed about most of the fights is that although it is very helpful to have specific jobs, there are always spots open for pretty much anything. Kicked Ouyru's @$$ with drg =P
