I understand why people feel buying gil is wrong, and I agree, but is it really that horrible to want to make a few bucks off your character when you've spent a year paying $13 a month to use it? I mean, I guess the person who paid for the character did take a cheap way out though, since he didn't have to put any work into gaining the abilities of the 73 PLD.

It will be slightly worse once another account buyer is added to the mix...



Just think of all the instant warp scrolls you can buy...

This Character didn't have a good or bad reputation- anyone else ever heard of him? Of course, now this Character has the reputation of account buyer.



This is a bad buy because you will be shunned by every good and honest player aware of the fact you're involved in RMT activities.

Who ever bought this account will do either of the following:

1.) Use the character and get /blisted and constantly told "You bought your account" etc. They deserve it but they will eventually go to the next step...

2.) Use the character and sell off the current gear and fund their own character on the server or make a new character and have it funded by the PLD.

I don't see any problem with buying an account, if you are a previous player who achieved hi levels, and your account was deleted. I personally cannot see starting over, doing all the quest, rank missions, relvling the crafting and whatnot. I've been playing for over 2 ys, and i've seen many people delete their characters, only to come back and start over 6mos-1yr later. If i ever delete my ****, that will be the last time i ever play ffxi. I don't have an issue with people selling their character either, why not recoup something from all the blood sweat and tears you've put into it. You'll never get what it's worth anyway.

I know exactly who he is. He used to be in LoTB, and I had been wondering what had happened to him. The Taru is "Flagg", the Galka is "Xerokool". His Galka was 70 BST.

I remember one day Xerokool, myself, and Eleazar were in a BST trio in The Boyahda Tree leveling off Goobbues when all of a sudden Xerokool gets warped to Mordion Gaol. Both Eleazar and I were like "WTF"!
