Have you ever noticed people trying to sell there help in camping Valkrum emporere and lizzie lmafo god you people are gisellers go hang out with your buddys that do that crap on other servers (ie: group of 17 gilsellers camping lizzie kill it get drop then you pay them what ever there price is to lot on it) i me come one squenix you gotta think things though a little better than that...

anyway just a warning to those of you who are a little more trusting than some of us

Actually, AGM has been in many HNMLS and partaken (I believe) in all end-game material from HNMs to Dynamis. He is also no stranger to making money (his gear would make most people cry). And as far as nms like VE go...if you don't want to camp the nm and you are too lazy to BCNM for it, 25% of AH price doesn't sound all that bad.

Just playing Devil's (aka AGM's) advocate here, but is it a personal or professional problem you have with what AGM is trying to do?

Well might as well start this response with, don’t judge my character by my user name. I’m not some fly by idiot who’s going to flame the hell out of someone here and someone there, just don’t feel like using my in-game name here. I’m not in any HNM or endgame linkshell but I do have many friends in many of them and know many of the ends and out. I help for free here and there with a couple of them, as well, so I’m not some low level ‘n00blet’ or whatever you wish to refer to someone who has no knowledge of endgame.

First off, I’m going to cover my opinion of the original point of this topic. have you noticed how all thses people are trying to create hnm/dynamis end game lses. I myself have noticed many of these new linkshells forming left and right and I’m pretty sure everyone else has. People who are in pre-existing linkshells may just shrug them off now but later down the line there is going to be more post about them. Flames and complaints will run rampant and people will reminisce to the good ole’ days when there weren’t an assload of linkshells camping said HNM or said pop item NM. And just to give a good example of this, I think when I checked last Saturday evening, either 4 or 5 of the 6 Dynamis locations were occupied. those who have never done anything trying to lead one (agirlyman) the what disturbed me even more is i saw a 41 whm shouting trying to make one blackplauge i belive was the name (come on how obvious is it someones trying to make money off someone else) . Though this may be true, the old saying “practice make perfect” does apply here. Many of the endgame linkshells that are in place now didn’t get that way over night. They were once ‘n00bs’ but over a long period of time got their **** into shape and dominate many end game activities. However, I’m pretty sure many of these new linkshells pop up because people are not willing to collect all the points they need to wait in line to get some item drop. They figure if they make their own linkshell they will be able to bypass this. Now, this may not be true for some linkshells, but people are greedy. It’s human nature to be as competitive as we are (especially in the United States where people are raised to be extremely competitive to get jobs, money and other thing). End of story.

Personally, I believe if someone is willing to dish out the money to hire someone to help them get something it’s okay. It’s not like they’re forcing them to go after the NM or item, the person is just too lazy or uninformed about the mob. I’m voting on lazy though, that’s my own major flaw with camping stuff and farming sometimes.

Okay, well now that I’ve actually responded to the original content of this post, time to get to the whole reason why I decided to post. Guess you could consider this a flame, but I’m not fond of Agirlyman to start. He runs his mouth way too much and loves to antagonize people, which is probably why a large portion of the Shiva community loves to ***** and whine about him. I myself have run into him while camping Sozu Rogberry. The NM popped right in front of him and I got the claim. Then of course, to sweeten the deal, has to throw in that line about killing more NMs than our hours played. Just being a smartass there. Someone earlier in this thread posted this about Agirlyman Every time I've "worked" with him its been a pleasure, so I dont really understand the pissin' and moanin'. The only thing I've witnessed is a little smack talking and if you cant handle it you are a bit to sensitive to be out in public.I think you’re remark about a little smack talk is a bit of an understatement. And even if it isn’t, he’s doing something that merits a lot of people to dislike him. Many of the things I see him /shout in Jeuno or read from time to time on the forums merit enough for me to just get annoyed listening to him. Long story short, it doesn’t matter if he has some craft at 100 and gear to make someone cry, he antagonizes enough people to where there will and are going to be flames concerning him. Forums are here for people to chat and talk about stuff they like and don’t like, so I don’t know why people always jump to “problems with said person should be taken up through /tell in game” when a post like this occurs. Nothing ever really happens when you take up some trivial rivalry through /tell, so why not vent on a forum? That’s why they are here. Anyways, the original content of this post was actually well worth debating, but bring in a well known player (good, bad or both) to the mixture and it jumps to a flame war or something similar.

:) Why thank you Sophus, it's good to see there are people who realize opinions are opinions. Everyone is allowed to think what they want to think, it's what makes you who you are (and, of course, makes for some wonderful debates at times). However, many people don't like to acknowledge this, so flame wars always appear in public forums. Also, I came from a real life community very similar to the FFXI community so I've had plenty of exposure to the kinds of arguments that appear. You get tired of them over time, but then again what's life without conflict? Very boring, lol.

And my linkshell is glad to have me (and ***** out my treasure hunter all the time, but I am a self proclaimed 'TH *****' so it's all good) as I am glad to have them. It's a very simple, but rewarding, in-game experience and I'm happy to have it.
