So lotsa people think that a BST is a "must have" for BCNM 20 Wings of Fury. While it does make it very easy, let me assure you, it is NOT the only way to go. Some say it is even soloable with a BST, but assuming your looking to party this BCNM, you dont need a beastmaster. To cut to the chase, the group I went with now holds the record for fastest cleartime on the Shiva server. Im not trying to give up our amazing strategy, but we used a WAR/MNK, a WHM/BLM and a SMN/WHM. There are plenty of other grups out there that have done it almost as fast (almost), and alot of them didnt have a beastmaster. Theres always easy ways to do things, but sometimes the road less traveled is a little more fun. Take care, and I suppose if this gets enough interest ill post a play by play of the fight.

Yes, I've done BCNM 20 a few times with WAR MNK WHM setup. WAR and MNK duo each furry, WAR 2hrs on first; MNK 2hrs on the 2nd. We managed to get by using a couple of hi-potions. 2nd time around, WHM went it with Yaggie Drink and Pie for more MP, only used one hi-potion, probably could have gotten away with not using any.
The advantage with doing it BST/BST/WHM or possibly even BST/BST/BST is that only one person has to 2hr. So you could do this BCNM 3 times over before you had to leave and come back. Ditto for SMN setup.

A BST in my LS solos this EVERY time he gets 20 seals. Costs him 40K if i remeber correctly, to assure the win (the items needed).
However, i used to do this a lot when i was lower lvl, and pretty much any 2 DD's + a healer makes it cake. I dont think ive ever "Needed" to use my 2 hour (as WAR or WHM ), though i have used it just for fun.

Sorry, from a different server but I saw this post and it caught my attention.
I like your mindset. Too many people throwing nothing but ninjas and rangers into COP making it almost impossible to bring your beloved jobs there.... and it positively can be done. If more people had your mindset on taking what you love and doing it well... I think it would be a much happier game.
I have never seen any thread about "OMFG U don't needz Bst 2 du this!!11!!" but I guess you are right. There are a lot of bcnm's out there where it seems bsts and smn's own. I'm sure it detracts alot of invites when you don't have A or B job lvl'ed to use. Even though bst is my main I highly agree that you do not need bsts to do this. That mind set is just as idiotic as thinking you can only take black mages and smn'ers to "Worms Turn"
