ya know i've always seen things selling for 10+ and such in jeuno, and it makes me wonder...

how much gil is actually created/destroyed?

example:
Person A makes a stack of fire crystals. Sells on AH for 5k. Person A traded 12 crystals for 5k gil.

Person instead (foolishly) sells to the NPC. Assuming 12g per crystal, 144 gil has been created. Instead, the person buys these crystals from an NPC. Thus, 144 gil has been destroyed.

i just wonder the insane amount of gil created just to cover the cost of leveling, unless people just make 100 million total and end up trading it. has anyone actually reached the gil cap? that in its own would be a friggin accomplishment, maybe even moreso than mr alljobs75

Although there is a lot of gil going into the game I'm sure there is tons of it going out of the game as well.

For me, outpost warps are high on my list of outgoing funds.
Funguar jugs being used up as well as I use them in farming and usually buy them from the NPC in kazham
Gullables travels 1 and 2 took a large chunk out.
Cooking probably took some out with failed synths during skill ups (I tried to stick to things I could buy ingredients from venders, easier that way)

Other then AH and Jeuno taxes I can't think of any other methods that remove gil from the game for myself.

gil can be "created" when it drops off beastmen mobs, although I can't see how that would result in any significant impact on the economy
