I'm a level 50 blm looking to get my Moldavite Earring soon by camping Mysticmaker Profblix.

I'm looking for higher level help. I've heard 67+ jobs have little trouble soloing it, and I can go about enfeebling, curing, stunning etc.

I am 0/2 on drop. One loss too
Stonega II, immediate Sleepga II, followed by Waterga II.. Dead thf without getting to attack him... I had the evil version 
This was as a level 70 thf. I would have thought he would have done less damage with his AOE than he did.
I'll help you camp him. I seem to have good luck on claiming against blm's.

the 1st time i tried soloing i died as i was trying to hard to silence him and then he did AM on me and i got too many links and ran out of mp this was at 67, what i did is camp it after maintance 2nd time i more or less soloed him my friend came and helped me kill links i got drop too ^^
I'm in desperate need of this as well, but the only days I can actually sit around and camp all day is Saturdays. If anyone wants to do it then, I'll come and we can lot on drop. And I'm not one of those who will just up and leave if I get it first; hopefully you aren't either.
if someone does help you make you are sneaked and invis or your waiting by entrance as youll aggro every thing at 50 =/
you stop getting aggro at 66/67 i believe all though stuff will con as easy prey even at 69 they are still easy prey but dont aggro thank goodness ^^

I'm on GMT. I can do a 4 hour slot on most mondays, tuesdays and thursdays at anytime really, maybe starting at 8 a.m EST or later in the afternoon/evening if you want. I'm busy on wednesdays and fridays from 11:30 EST, but could fit in a few hours from 15:00 - 18:00 EST.
Saturday I can pretty much do anytime up until 18:00 EST.

An update, Spd got his moldy on the first kill ;)
He's still willing to help camp him though.

You can't use items on mobs to my knowledge. Silencing potions are used in Alchemy to craft weapons with the added effect:Silence, such as Mokuto, Silence Dagger, etc.
So to answer your question, using a silencing potion would only silence yourself.

Well the description just says "induces silence" - didn't know it was self-target only since I've never used it. Damn, there goes that thought.
you dont need to silence him ( more than likely silence wont stick if it landed i had capped enfeebling at 69 and it didnt stick) just keep stoneskin + blink up and get the blms to stun any AM he or high lvl -ga spell. O.o you know spd hes a friend of mine

What is it like trying to get in to Dynamis runs and big group events? Do you just have to stay up to the early hours of the morning?

im not a part of any HNM ls yet although that will change more than likely soon, in the uk ls im in we do coffers some times promys and AF3 nms recently 3 ppl did pld AF3 fight in davio lol
and did smn AF3 1st fight with 4 ppl i ended up kiting a mob and then we fought the manticore with just 3 ppl lol me and the ls leader were just about of mp but then the war killed it lucky maticore died i had just converted and was casting aero 3 on it >.>

Stoneskin is WHM 28 or RDM 34, so unfortunately BLM won't have access to it until 56 or 68 depending on sub :(
Also, Mysticmaker is supposed to be as resistant to stun as he is to silence, since in a way he is "thunder" based (although not weak to stone)
Anyone know how much damage would he take if Wakka and I both cast Freeze on him at the same time (assuming another party member had claimed and had hate)?

Camped for 2 hours, a rdm came soon before the pop, luckily Spd grabbed with a stun. The fight was easier than I thought, he didnt cast any AM or many -gas. Bart came just in time :) I died from a bomb blast, but all it dropped was thunderIII and some goblin stuff. Camping it again at next pop ^^

Was up against more competition, somehow it stayed unspawned long enough for me to gawk about then stun.
Died again ;) and only thundagaIII drop.
But being my first NM camp, its really enjoyable!

Good thing is we've claimed 3/3, and Bartholomew won the claim against lots of competition, though sadly was one-shotted by tornado :(

Should've used bar-aero! Guess we'll be trying again next weekend. A little disappointed at drop rate, but oh well. It is intense waiting for the pop with everyone else there; a lot of fun, but a bit boring in between.

Got it! Camped three times today, didnt win the claim twice. Came along later with Mohit (thankyou!), he was uncamped, we got the claim, I died (as usual) and Mohit won!
Camping it was so enjoyable, I'll be happy to camp again in my free time for anyone else that needs it.
