hey everybody, i'm a returning player to FFXI. i have been reading up on the latest patch, but what has been new since last year, late august?
i heard something about moghouse changes, rangers "sweet spot", and am wondering if someone can help fill me in? any help is appreciated, thank you!

One very interesting new thing is the fellowship quest. You can gain a NPC to fight along side you once every 20 real time hours. Also he becomes stronger by leveling up, getting new gear, and you can trade him new weapons. Very cool, check it out. Unfortunatly you have to be level 30 to get the quest, and even then it will be hard to solo.

Dang I didn't know you could trade the NPC weapons! I gotta try it.
yes, i have also heard about this fellowship quest, along with the exp boost while solo should make things interesting. would i need promathia in order to get it?
