With the fact that FF11 will be down all day on the 8th practically I figured we should once again review our safety protocols for reintroduction of FF11 players into the wild.
(1) That big glowing ball in the sky is not a group of pixels on your monitor and should not be stared at to see how neat the effect is.
(2) Do not attack random objects suspecting they are a new monster or NM added into the game.
(3) Apparently the /check system still works although SE appears to have introduced a force feedback mechanism that fires randomly. This happens when you attempt to examine all aspects of a players armor to see what they have equipped. As in game female characters in particular seem to be sensitive to this.
(4) Standard speaking terms such as lol, mt, /tell do not appear to either be working or understood by other characters. We are coining this the Babel effect.
(5) Walking around with your weapon out in public no longer seems to be acceptable as you will be mobbed by a recently added NPC force known as P.O.L.I.C.E.
(6) NPCs appear to have fairly randomized responses that seem to never repeat themselves although repeated talking too can cause a negative perception of the player on the NPC and on rare occasion result in another interaction with the P.O.L.I.C.E.
(7) All magic spells appear to be neutralized as players have found they are unable to cast cure or any other spells.
(8) As many have suggested a wide array of new swimsuits for the summer event have appeared and some are appear to throw modesty to the wind. However how to obtain these appears to require a new Rare/Ex item called cash, used much the same way gil is. How to obtain this Rare/Ex item is still being figured out, although many appear to have a personal NPC called Parents that supply some of it.
(9) Walking around in outdoor areas for excess periods of time appear to now have a detrimental effect on parts of the player and seems to cause the spell "Burn" to be put on the player. Steps should be taken to avoid this spell as it is particularly long lasting and quite painful. This should be taken into consideration especially to those fond of the new swimsuits and subligars
(10) Weather effects appear to still be working and new ones which combine certain elements are now in place, rain and thunder weather has been combined and is prevalent in certain areas.
(11) DO NOT TALK ABOUT GOBBIE BOMBS IN THE AIRSHIP TERMINALS. Doing this once again triggers the introduction of the P.O.L.I.C.E.
I hope we can all safely continue to explore this new world that has appeared since we can not access Vanadiel and be careful. It may not be yuhtunga jungle but I am told it is a jungle out there.
