Call out to all level 60+ BST-new shell lotb (long)Follow

We posted this on our website, but realized that there are a lot of BST 60+ that either were never part of or were part of but left LordsoftheBeast, so we decided to post here for any interested:

After much thought, debate, conversations, more thought, debate and conversations, it was decided that the upper levels of LordoftheBeast would create a new branch shell simply called lotb. The purpose of the shell is for higher level like minded BST to get together to do stuff in all BST parties. To put it simply (and we adopted this as a motto) "All BST, all the time....let's blow stuff up!"

Basically the reason for this split of this is the original LordsoftheBeasts shell was created to give a home for the like minded players of Vandy that wanted to play what was once considered an "outcast" job of Beastmasters. A place to get advice, get together for some BCNMs and to just talk about the job in general. It is a social shell, rules are lax, pretty much if you are a Beastmaster, you get a pearl. That was the beauty of the shell.

But, as many of you that might have BST or other jobs past 60, the game takes a drastic change. There is numerous end-game, high level stuff to be done and until now, there was no home for all BST parties to do this. I have spoken with many level 70+ BST that have left LoTB to venture to HNMLS but have yet to accomplish high level stuff in all BST parties. Well, now we all have the opportunity to do this.

I first started with LordsoftheBeasts about a year ago. There were only a handful of 60+ in the entire server, so the thought of end game BST parties were unheard of. However, we now have a ton of 60+ and we have lost a ton to HNMLS.....so we decided NO MORE! Let's do this stuff all BST and give people the opportunity to participate in end game, without having to go through the HNMLS process.

Now, many might be thinking "Then why the need for a seperate shell?" The reason is simple. LordsoftheBeast, as stated previously, is a social shell to be used when a person was leveling BST. It is not structured to do large group activities and was never meant to be. Sure, occasionally we would get a group together and do Tails of Woe, AF, LBs or something....but nothing on the scale of a full alliance working as a team. The rules were lax and the shell kinda did what it wanted and that was a major part of it's charm. However, end game stuff is slightly different, it requires a lot of teamwork, a lot of strategy, a lot of planning/prep work and some discepline. I hate to admit this, but it does.

The new shell (which is actually called lotb) will be fundamentally different in a few ways. First, please be aware that this is not a "event" shell. This is the shell for the 60+ to wear like the other pearl. We will still don the "purple shell" (as it is affectionately being referred to) occasionally to help the newer BST, socialize, get AF and whatnot, but for the majority of the time, we will wear the "green shell".

There will be a level limit, full AF required (not to wear, but at least to have), and a few rules and regulations (nothing psychotic, most are common sense). The rules and regulations must be adhered to to make this work. For those of you that have done end game stuff, they can be fun, but if there are not rules in place...it just becomes hell and a headache.

The rules are as follows:

1) Admitance requires 60+, full AF. We have decided body is the only exception, as this coffer key is hard to get. However, we will work diligently to get you this (and any other piece of AF you may not have prior to joining) if you do not have it.

2) Everyone that meets the above requirements is welcome. However, if you are disrespectful, disruptive, rude, ect. you will be asked to leave. Now, we are not gonna be really strict and if you need to blow steam, we understand, we all get frustrated. But repeated "bad" behavior will be reason to ask you to leave.

3) You must be BST while in the shell. We decided no exceptions to this rule, with the exception that you are working to level your sub for BST.

4) We are going to do activities as all BST. Please do not ask if you can go as your "other" high level character. Trust me, a lot of us have done stuff in hybrid parties and 9 times outta 10, the other jobs die.

5) NO intentional MPK policy. No exceptions. Accidents happen, we all know this...but if a pattern shows itself, we will ask you to leave. Also, no threatening others with MPK, ever. Any proof will result in immediate removal of the pearl.

6) No sharing of ToD, screenshots of LS chat, or other private information. As of now, we are not actively hunting HNMs and will do what we consider "sport" hunting, where we will just go after HNMs because it is there.

7) Be respectful of other LS members. This should be obvious, but there have been more than a few instances lately where this has not been the case.

8) Respect the leaders of any activity we do. When we organize, we will assign leaders. Please listen to that leader and if you don't like how they are doing it, offer to lead the next event. It is impossible to do stuff like ZM, Rank Missions, CoP, Dynamis, Gods and other stuff without a leader and followers.

9) Please put in to the shell what you want to get out, meaning if you pop in, ask for something, can't get it and pop out, we will ask you to leave. However, if you help out, organize events, lead events, and are an active, helpful member, you will reap the benefits as well. While there is no point system, there will be an honor system. Many of us have put a lot of time and effort to see if all BST stuff works and we just ask that you do the same. And as a side note, we have done several things that we has been said "can't be done" all beast and have yet to fail....

10) When we do start HNM hunting, please be respectful to all the other shells that are there. Even if they do something you think is wrong, be the better person.

11) Finally, we will not be a full blown HNMLS where we do nothing but camp HNMS 24/7 but we will camp them. If you are active in an HNMLS we would ask that you not participate when we do start HNMs. There are too many conflicting interests and it turns into bad situations.

That is it. No bloodsamples, no 20 page questionaire, no deep, dark alterior motives. Just a place to gather and blow stuff up, BST style!

Please be informed that this will NOT be a typical HNMLS. We will have no bank, no LS items, nothing crazy like that. We will hunt the occasional HNM when we get the people to do so and unless either a) the item is rare/EXE or b) the group agrees to give an individual an item that drops, the loot will be sold and distributed evenly to all that participated.

Our focus will be on all BST Missions, Rare/EXE (such as bomb rings, optical hats, ect.), ZMs (Sky access for everyone!), CoP, Gods, NMs, ENMs, HNMS and eventually Dynamis. We will even dabble in fun stuff, like avatars, Fenrir Battle, Beast-a-palooza events, WS fights, group orientated quests, BCNMs, KS BCNMs and other stuff as well.

For those interested in and able to do Dynamis now (which we don't have enough people to do it all BST yet), we have a good relationship with Chasing Infinity which allows us to participate in Dynamis in small all BST groups and we have done very well. Talk to one of the others for details.
