So I've been playing about a year and I've been wondering the following question...
Who actually plays monk as their main job?
I mean, I'm the premire and only Galka Monk in the Jilted Syndicate, and I'm pretty sure Agawulf's main is Monk (please correct me if I'm wrong on this), but who else?

Yes my main is MNK although I dabble in other jobs when I don't feel like looking for parties for hours and am just looking to blow some steam off when playing the game.
edit: that said when I really want to blow some steam I turn on MNK and go bash in the faces of Gobs and undead with my bare hands. lol

the guy i share my account with is a 58 MNK...give a /tell to "Gresh" and u guys can chat about MNK, btw he LOVES his friggin' monk, hes an Elvaan by the way
My best friend plays Monk as main. Dominicus is his name. He also has rng war and thf at or close to 40, but Monk is at 52.

42 Monk is my progress in one year. Perhaps I could level it soon. I also have many other jobs leveled though.
Too bad Monks are not recognized until they can go to Bones parties. Sucks.

Monk has been my main since I started playing in October of 2003. Though, my lack of playing in the past caused me not to have a 75 Monk. But, I'm getting there though!
Oh oh oh! I am a monk! Me!! I'm currently only 64mnk! And I'm a tarutaru! I am THE cutest little monk ever!!
Monk here also. Just hit level 61 tonight.

Come on my name has monk in the title, you think I'd be anything but. 61 finally, sigh lvling sub jobs sucks.
My best friend Krisnyanya's main is 43Mnk and an old LS member of ours, Onionfire, is 75Mnk.

a friend of mine, Koui, is also a mnk75 main... he's the only mnk-main in our LS :(
There are quite a few MNKs on shiva I always see at least one more searching for party at the same time I am.
Okay, now that i've found a bunch of you, time to ask a favor.
Sometime about mid-May (15-20) I'd like to go a camping the NM's to get my brown belt items. I'll be completeing the purple belt quest here in the next week or two.
How many people still need to get their brown belt, and if you already have it, how many are willing to help kill the NM's to get it?
I've got a whm and a probably a smn and rdm i could ask to tag along to help keep us alive/take care of any annoying links and pops.
If interested, please post here or send me a tell in game.

My LS leader, Zayne, is a 63 MNK.
I'm not sure on the status of my helping crew, but I am also needing to quest Brown Belt. Just finished Purple Belt, and since I'm 42, I need it soon so others don't yell at me for being gimped. /sigh.
Taru MNK....recently converted from my RDM-56.
Gained 21 levels in 18 days after making the decision (o.o)
Only thing stopping me now is the 3,000,000+ in gil needed for gear for level 34-40 equipment.

Two NA's have Black Belts on Shiva, Lordkain is one, I forget the other >.> I'd have to put them up as one of the best. Zeph instantly gets last place as most powerful monk because he's always on rng neglecting his mnk <.<
My monk is 3! I might be leveling it...later, heh. I wouldn't mind going as mnk when I have crit hits +6% on merits XD
I know that Shinigami also has Black Belt. He is probably one of the top monks out there. He certainly owns in ballista.

From what I understand DL is the only LS to get the items needed for it, and two of their Monks have. I can't think of their other monks...Kato maybe? Lordkain was the 2nd to get his Black Belt, so maybe Kato was first?

i love mnk and i'm leveling sam at the same time...sam is 40 mnk is 39....i just started serious leveling again after 2 months of burnout and questage....i have almost done every san quest...unless they keep adding more :( ......

My main is monk and I love it! Although, getting an invite has been HELL! Where's the monk love? Pretty much always seeking anytime that I'm on so look me up! Dowd is the name.

I think the late night parties are better. I stayed in my last one from 10 PM - 7 AM, lol...
I was tanking too, and doing a fine job at it. :p
