Hit cooking 100.0 today
Just thought I'd give a quick recap of what I did since I get tons of /tells maybe ya'll can read it here.
96ish
To get to 96 I just cooked anything with King Truffle in it, including Brain Stew etc (see King Truffle foods on item search)
Sweet Rice Cakes = DAMD&$*$@*$^$@ to 99
Fresh Mugwort 15k each or 250k a stack (1 of the ingredients)
a) Yes its cheaper to buy individually
b) Its only harvestable and considered a rare harvest
c) QWYURY*@&$* Resale of Sweet Rice Cakes is 5-6k a stack and you only yield 9 per. So it's totally only profitable when either harvested yourself or skill ups. Don't make this looking for massive profit, it can and will be a slow seller despite the nice stats it provides.
Costed me: 250k + 230k + 180K + 60K (for Fresh Mugwort alone) to get from 98.3 cooking to 99.
All downhill from here....?? NEVER!
Cursed Soup. Royal Jelly drops off Death Jackets in Crawlers' Nests. Those little wasps/bees flying all around the long passway by the entrance. This is one of the ingredients needed. It does not sell on AH, nor tradeable (that a word?) nor bazaarable. It's EX. You must lot the drop or get it yourself in order to be yours.
10 a.m. to 2 a.m. I got to 99.9 cooking. This was hell and required in the end 3 TH2 able bodies who ended up helping in sort of shifts here and there. (Thanks guys!) my bf and me we all did this, it was a drag but was fun needless to say.
The rest of the ingredients are either NPC'd AH'd or Gardended only. I just bought it all on AH, bought 3 stacks of each and boy did I need it.
I was stuck at 99.9
An alternative if you don't mind splurging and / or waiting for it in stock and / or farming it.
Red Curry. Main ingredient: Dragon Meat sells on Shiva 10-30k each (I bought from everywhere lol) First one I made I got the notification of 100.0 cooking :D I was psyched!! These ain't too shabby for an alternative as they sell probably faster than Cursed Soup (like 45k each) as aposed to cursed soups 5kish each
Well thats my story.
Was fun as hell.
Took me one day to get from 98.3 to 100 and probably somewhere near a mil (huge estimate and bad rounding)
OK I'm done.
