Hi. I have a question about the company backing up character memory. If the game freezes, or if it plain old messes up, and our characters are erased because the game was not shut off properly, can we get them and the equipment back from the company?
I don't think so. I believe they have logs but if I remember correctly, in the terms of service, SE claims no responsibility for lost data.
As for backups, I believe there are periodic moments that you're character data is saved throughout your play session. When you logout/shutdown, your character data should also be saved.
I have not encountered this problem, nor do I know the workings of SE, so I cannot say for certain. But if a character is erased, they may be able to roll back the character to its last save.

Not really sure on that one. I'm fairly certain that they will not give you your items back due to an improper logout, etc.
i have d/c many times. never had a problem with that. but if i ever did and wasnt able to get my character/gear/items back i would have to quit playing. just to much time was put into everything i have.
